My skin is now all flaring up yet again and it is now cracking aswell as getting very sore down my legs aswell as on the insides of my legs.I knew this would happen aswell as soon as i stopped smoking as this happened a few years ago.The hospital has told me only twenty minuites in a bath at a time due to my skin being cracked aswell as weeping. They are the ones that are sorting out injections out yet again for my psoriasis,i have just left a message on their answering machine to let them know i am not happy after all i have been waiting 4 weeks now and if i was an animals they would not let me suffer.

I am sorry you are having this trouble. That sounds terrible to suffer. I have a suggestion and do not know if it will work for your condition, but it has worked for myself and others who have dry skin due to moisture. Hand sanitizer. I found this works for me and told some others about it, again I don't know if it could help your situation but if you have some spots on your skin that are not open maybe you can try it to see if it will work for you. My hands were getting very dry and chapped to the point of bleeding. I wash my hands alot. I remember a friend of mine several years ago had a similar problem and the poor man couldn't even wash dishes without getting chapped hands. His doctor gave him steroid cream but I don't want that. It doesn't work very well anyway. So I tried some hand sanitizer just to see what would happen, and immediately my hands began to feel better. I use it after I use soap and water to wash. Maybe it will help you, maybe it will not.

Is your psoriasis flaring because of the stress of stopping smoking? Yours must be pretty bad if you have to have injections for it. The people I have known that have it have looked really painful. I sure hope you get some relief soon. I have lots of things I would try, but I bet you are better off sticking to orders from the doctor and the hospital. You are correct, animals sometimes are better treated than people are.

I have a small understanding of how you feel, although the skin condition I have is eczema, so it's fairly common and treatable. I got this condition due to my sensitive skin along with my over exposure to the sun as a kid. I have a really large patch on the inside of my left leg. If I put lotion on it daily, it will go away...I'm lazy, though, so that doesn't always happen! In the winter when it's dry, my leg flares up even worse. In the summer, it's a little better, and I have more opportunity to keep lotion on it (since I wear shorts and things like that which leave the area exposed). However, I can't use lotions that are really strong or have a large scent because those will irritate the area even more. How do you treat your condition and what effects do you experience? I hope you health soon.

hi jugsjugs oh that sounds so much worse than my hives, are not there sine new medications that are supposed to help heal psoriasis? I sure would be on them ,making you wait a month that's just dreadful, my doctor prescribed for me on Tuesday and they started the steroids on Thursday which cured the hives but almost killed me with high really high blood sugar and high blood pressure it took six hours to get my bs down from 390 to 179 which is still above normal but at least not dangerous they did get my blood pressure down to 150 over 62 from over 210 over 69 I feel so much better, just wish you did too.Yes I think at times we treat animals better than us humans.

I don't if it's true but i have a friend who has psoriasis and he was informed that there's no medicine for it. He was advised to just relax and avoid stress since those are the causes for psoriasis to show. I have also known someone who was advised to inject steriods to control psoriasis. Have you gone through those? i admit that you're far more advance in your country if you compare it to ours....

My skin is starting to get better. The first thing I learned that could help is what goes into my mouth. So I went on a healthier diet. No sugar or carbs of any kind. Then I started to drink more water and take one tablespoon of fermented cod liver oil in the morning and one at night which is supposed to help with inflammation and also healing. I also started to take a multivitamin with minerals. I drink my organic green tea and sometimes I add vitamin e oil or serum with some avocado oil and put that on the skin. Or put cod liver oil with a drop of avocado oil on the skin too. Just be careful not to get oil in eyes. Seriously this is helping my skin and my breakouts are getting less and less. I am so happy and I am continuing with this program so progress takes time and I hope it helps you too.

You've been waiting 4 weeks for treatment?! I would get another doctor if I were you! What about going to an emergency room or urgent care center, would that work? I'm sorry you're in so much misery, I hope you get this straightened out and feel better soon!

My goodness that sounds so painful and uncomfortable! How is it related to you having stopped smoking? Is it stress induced? I have very sensitive skin and it doesn’t take much for it to become very itchy and irritated. I am allergic to nail polish, nail polish remover; perfumes just to name a few. I cannot help but come into contact with things that cause my skin to flare up so I found the one cream that works really well for me after many trials and errors. It is Celestone cream it works wonders when nothing else will clear the skin up. It is available on prescription only and it is to be used sparingly and I cannot live without it! I don’t know if you have ever tried it. I had a friend who used to apply to her psoriasis quite successfully. Hope it eases up for you...

I am so sorry to hear that you are having to suffer through this again, it doesn't sound like it is any fun at all. I wish that I was able to give you some advice on how to make your suffering more minimal, but I've never dealt with these kind of skin problems so I'm afraid that I can be of no assistance to you. I hope that the hospital is able to get things sorted out for you soon so that the suffering that you are going through will come to an end.

what happened? Hmm.. did you try putting some lotion on it? How about ointments? Maybe you should see a dermatologist. I'm pretty sure he/she can help you. How about your soap? maybe it irritates your skin.

The best way to maintain our skin is to apply moisturizer which will keep our skin breath normally and retains its texture and before going out in sun one should apply sunscreen lotion.eat a balanced diet and drink lot of water which will rejuvenate the skin and retains young look.

i actually have a friend who also has psoriasis, she told me that it flares up because of heat, like now that its summer time the disease will get out and flares up and not just by stopping your smoking habit. i know that having this will make a person feels really sick when the weather is hot... hope you can feel much better while taking a medicine... always remember that God is good...
