My children and I have come to have a special taste for spaghetti, probably due to all the parties we attended when they were children. So I have come to cook spaghetti often, like every weekend. What about you?

oh i know that. my wife watches almost all the cooking shows on tv, i ron chef has three male chef, there is also jamie oliver, emeril, wolfgang puck, todd english, martin yan, tyler florence, anthony bordain, michael smith and more. har har har. so i know that there are more male chefs that are good than female thou we both enjoy watching guida, ina and cat. sorry but i dont have talent in cooking. i tried that years and year ago but was not successful. the food go on wasted than eaten. but i do help around if i can. i wash the dishes and utensils that my wife use. take out the trash and set the table. plus ran errands if she is missing an ingredient. so in cooking she in not all that tired a do lend a hand but i dont have talent in cooking. to give her a brake we sometimes dine outside. that is the break i give her. and we enjoy that too for no cooking and no setting of the table and no washing. a break for all of us. har har har

My fellow female will get mad at me but se7enthbird, don't you know that the male is the better cook? All the fine cuisines in the world are manned by male chefs? Amongst my friends, the male dominate the kitchen. If it is not to offensive to suggest, get the utensils and give your better half a break!

The ingredients had become expensive. But I don't cut my budget on food. Instead, I refrain from shopping for new clothes or from going to the movies. So my spaghetti is still cheesy and absolutely yummy. Everyday is a special day. But of course I also have tokwa with soy sauce and calamansi day, like today.

We usually have spaghetti once a week. It's easy enough to make and the kids like it, so it's usually a winner in my house.

You brought me back to a past blog, and I was surprised we still love spaghetti. Yes, pasta is easy enough to prepare, and noodles is always a dinner delight.

Cook just enough for one meal. If there are left-overs, refrigerate so you can have it for another day. I was a terrible cook before, too. But I gradually put to heart the culinary art. My daughters and I love to talk while cooking and eating - sort of bonding.

At my house we cook spagetti at least once a week. It is cheap to make and can serve many. This dish is a family favorite so it pleases everyone.

Back here, we are clannish. Whenever we gather together, spaghetti is served. Unlike the Italians though, we prepare ours saucy and cheesy. But the ingredients are quite expensive.

When I lived alone in my apartment I would cook alfredo a few times a month but now that I had to move back to my moms I dont cook at all. I miss the days of cooking a nice big pot of spinich mushroom alfredo.

Hi bolt, welcome to mylot. Know what, I do not know how to cook alfredo pasta. And probably your mom doesn't know how, too. Perhaps you can concoct the spinach and the mushroom for your mom's delight. How about Mother's Day?

My husband will not eat pasta, so I do not fix it very often and usually when he is at work. I will fix it for my adult son. On the other hand we seem to have pizza two or three times every week.

Some allergies could really last a lifetime. Some could just not outgrow nor immunize oneself from an allergy. But never mind, at least you guys can get to enjoy the sauce.

not very often. but we love spaghetti most especially the kids. we cook only on occasions and that is very seldom. say, when one is to celebrate his birthday or any party. but there are still some times that the kids made special request, so wife forced to cook for them.

I'm of Italian descent and I could eat pasta three times a day every day. since I'm on a diet, I've eliminated pasta from my diet because I lose all control when it's sitting in front of me. My favorite way to eat it is with a little bit of olive oil, freshly ground pepper, and crushed red pepper on top. That's the only sauce that I need.

A friend said that that is really the Italian way of enjoying pasta - minimal sauce. I think I could adopt my taste to that. But our Italian restaurants here are pampering us with all kinds of sauces. We are now all very saucy people, like the Italians !

Almost everytime there is an occasion, there also is spaghetti. Somehow it has become the easiest to prepare dish in the menu. HOwever, I have never seemed to grow tired of spaghetti. I like it sweet-style so we add condensed milk...just a little amount to give it a slightly sweet taste.

That is Jollibee style, too. Good taste. Add ham and tomato paste. But my spaghetti has a simpler recipe.

Growing up as a little girl my mom would make Thursdays pasta day. In fact at the age of 10, sauce was the first thing I learned to cook by my mom. So every Thursday it was spaghetti with meatballs or not, salad and garlic bread. Now I make it at least once a week but it's just not the same day of the week all the time. I love pasta and italian foods of all kind.

That is a good family tradition, making a day exclusive for something. I will make Saturday my pasta day, or spaghetti day. Thanks lelin, for reminding me about the good old tradition. It is graduation time in my country. I will invite relatives one Saturday so we could enjoy spaghetti and gossip as graduation celebration.
