I understand Norwegian, and have some friends from Norway, it is a beautiful language. One advantage is that the Norwegians understand Swedish so we can communicate by using both our own language.

Yes, most of the time :-) When I'm abroad it seems like very few understand what I say when I speak Norwegian, so then I usually switch to something else. Except for Sweden and Denmark, they're a bit lazy so they don't always understand but I have not intentions of letting them switch to English.
