The summer has started in my city, and the tempratures are touching 100'.The onset of summer has been quite early this year, usually the tempratures will rise only after April 14th which is our new year, but this year, the summer had started about one week earlier, and it is quite horrible. This will continue for the next 3 to 4 months and we just have to bear with the hot sun.How is the weather in your city.

Temperatures in the eastern US have moderated back more towards normal. We are in the mids 70's for highs, but we are also in the early spring here. We did have a few days that it went up to 90 and that was too hot, too early. Try to stay cool and make the best of the cooler days. Happy MyLotting

sweating it out without even going to a gym... i'll say it's all our fault.... u know the global warming and all. even now the talks are all superficial..come on wake up , the bombs ticking, diffuse it or it'll blast any time... on a lighter note i would like to say that... as a rule man is fool... when it is hot, he want's it cool.. when it is cool, he want's it hot... always wanting what is not..

I am for the cold weather. When I stayed in Delhi, I loved its winter, and as far as I am concerned, I will prefer the cold weather to the hot summer anyday.

i am in canada and the weather here is not hot yet but the growing season is much earlier than other years (at least 18 days!) which is huge to farmers as most dont plant after may 24 (which is when they say there will be no more frosts) but for the fruit growers, it is not good news!

I have never seen frost in my entire life. It has been only hot weather. For us, if it is 80 to 90 degrees, it is winter.

Hi, rameshkumaar57. It is in the late the 70s here. It is like 78 degrees. But, I think outside feels like it is in the middle 80s. I know that our hot weather is coming this way towards us very soon too. I just don't want to endure this heat. It has been pretty hot lately all last week here in our city. Last summer, it was so hot, I could not get cool enough! Thank God for the rain and the cool nights.. I hope that you all will stay cool as much as possible. And drink plenty of cold icy water too!

As I have written in a earlier answer, if the weather is only 78 to 80 degrees, it is winter to us, so you can understand what we will be suffering. Yesterday, it has touched 100 degrees.

So far, we have had a beautiful, not too hot spring. The A/C has been turned only a couple of nights that were too warm and sticky. Due to a wet winter, the spring flowers are beautiful this year. Hopefully, we will have another month of spring weather before summer sets in. When it does, the A/C will go night and day until after Thanksgiving.

The tempratures have already started touching 100 degrees, and in the night, we cannot sleep without the AC.Our state is already reeling under power cuts, and I hope we do not have a major power cuts.

• India

I hope elnino, changes our weather pattern, and I hope it starts snowing in our place, or at least we get some, heavy rains which will flood our city. That way there will not be a shortage of water for us.

Dude , its burning hot here in Philipines. By your name I can guess that you are from India. How's temperature there ? Around 45 C ?
• India
15 Apr 10
Usually we do not have 45 C, in our city, the maximum it might touch is about 42 to43, but since we are living in a coastal city, the humidity part, plays a vital part, and so, it feels more like 45 to 47.

Yes this year the summer has been worse than ever before. The temperatures are reaching at record heights. No summer showers has also arrived. I went many parts of the country but every where the temperature has gone up. I study in tirunelveli there the temperature is too high. I am from kerala here also summer has gone worse people don't have water even to drink. Another problem is humidity , here the humidity is very high when compared to other places
• India

Well Arun, you just have to bear the summer for two months, because by the first week of June, Kerala will have the rains. Just think of us in Chennai, we will be lucky to see the rain in September or October.

Yeah El Nino is in full-swing in the Philippines now. It started since last March and to date it has destroyed thousands of hectares of crops worth millions of pesos, dried up hundreds of fishponds, and claimed a couple of lives due to heat stroke. Don't forget to pack an umbrella and a bottle of water when you go outdoors, and try to not to stay out from 10am to 3pm if you can. This has been what our weather and health bureaus have been advising to Filipinos for the past weeks.
