Blame it to us. Its called global warming. I think its better if more and more people will adopt one child policy like China is doing. Right now our planet can't take the load of too much human population.

yeah but we can also help ourself too. Try to plant some plants in the roof tops or even in free space. that what we do in our apartment. So far the effect is not only the beauty its gives but also its cooler because of the shade. Problem is that because its very hot its consume a lots of water.

There are only few who doesn't face water scarcities during summer in India and it's very pathetic so to say. Moreover,i live in a 3 floor apartment and we still don't have ground water here. What we do is to turn on the damn motor everytime we need water, fill it and passes to many drums for further use and this is going on a regular basis these days.

Water comes to us in pipes. If there's a shortage due to lack of snowfall in the mountains, they tell us to ration.

In our country we have also shortage of water especially in the Luzon area. The water level in the dam is at the lowest point that is why there's a shortage or power interruption. Water is really important because we used it to cook foods and do laundry and for taking a bath. Most importantly it's use for drinking. I use to worry but not anymore because rainy season will take over soon and there will be plenty of water for everyone. I just hope your situation there in your country will improved.

oh yes, I have experienced shortages of clean water for a month because the supply of which is targeted to consumer is run out and our ground water is sucked by a big project. We cannot do anything about it so we finally cut corners with 1 gallon of water for family until the water is coming.

hello yugasini this is a common problem every where, my city had ponds and wells, but all were filled in the name of city expansion, we depend upon water from public health dept, we purchase rather, in my home there are 3 such connections, you may ask, why 3, lol some times they get clogged , you wont get water, from one we raise water to the overhead tank, from there it comes to our bath rooms, kitchen etc... Thanks for this nice post, cheers God bless you. Prof

I am sorry to hear about the water scarcity. Even in Bangalore there is water scarcity and power cuts. The power cut is too much and every one hour, they cut the power for one hour. Sometimes from 9 AM to 5 PM, there will not be any power at all. We cannot put motor to fill the tank. Water comes every alternate day. But small families can manage by filling water. Sometimes, there will be problem.

Hi, It is better to have a bore dug up and also rain water harvesting done especially in flats and apartments. We too live in flats but we have made rain water harvesting and also have dug up a bore that help us in the summer a lot. But yes we too faced that in one of the flats where we stayed for rent a few years back. But it is sad to know that you get only municipal tap water. Talk with other tenants and arrange for regular water supply through tanks. Store good amount of water when the municipal water comes.

Water - This is an image of water
Hello yugasini me to have experienced such an situation at mine rural areas and in my native places. As have some long distance relatives dwelling in rural ares mostly dusty areas.During summer it an nightmare to be there, as nearly all lakes and ponds are dried up, so all water system is down and spoilled.Means even if we get some water around its hot and dirty.Myself i suffer from dehyderation in those areas and use electron powder to mix in the water to drink it.Or just prefer to have cold-drinks and other packed fluids around me.Anyways keep it up with your mylotting.Happy mylotting.

We used to have plenty of water here in our place for the past years. But the heat wave now have dried up some water sources and added that nearby mines have dammed the other sources. now we have scarce water now too. I live in the Philippines.

yeah you are right, the importance of water is the number one priority in the summer days, because of the sweltering heat we are into water does evaporate quickly these days, let us just find alternative ways to save water so that we will have something to use when the necessity comes.....we can survive at lot less without water...

Hie Yuga, I hope this finds you well there. Im from Malaysia a country with abundance of rainfalls (3000mm annually)..I have never experienced water scarcity before, but I've always practice water saving and even educating school children (I'm a volunteer of an NGO Water Watch Penang (http://www.waterwatchpenang.org) ..All these while most Malaysians like to waste water as because they don't value things that they have... I really hope that those water wasters will realize someday that water is very precious and I do hope and pray that the drought season will end soon for you.

I think we had the same problem here in the Philippines, especially in the southern part of the country. We've been using hydroelectric power as our source of electricity and now we are experiencing rotating black out here in my town since there aren't enough waterfall this couple of months. So we have to saved electricity by shutting it down for 5 hours everyday. Most residence would complain since the air is hot and we can't even used air conditioning system or electric fans to cool ourselves.
