How do you spend the money that you have saved/earned, from some extra job?

Hell0 my friends. i am back after the long spring vacation and I feel really good being among you and have fun with you my friends! well, I wonder how you all spend the money that you have earned/saved from some extra job, because during the vacation i have worked for a couple of days in my home town and earn some money, which i used to buy a new video card for my laptop :)

My online earnings are what I call "my extra jobs". I live with my pension and if I get a part time job that has to do with my profession, I also use it for living puposes. But I use my online earning for what I call my luxury. I earn about $100 a month online here and there and I save it all for vacations and traveling purposes. Last January (2009) I went aboard a sailboat at the Caribbean. It was an invitation but I paid for the air ticket and my share of the food. This year I´m a bit poor with a shoulder surgery I just had. So I´m going for 10 days to the south of Chile (my country). I´ll see volcanoes, native forests, lakes. I´ll heal my shoulder in hotsprings.
I love to spend some of my money in things otherwise I coul just not do.

Having a purpose for our online earnings means that they don't just end up with the rest fir the bills and such. Funding a vacation with them is perfect for me too!

That´s how I feel. If I put it with the rest of the money, it disappears and there´s nothing extra that I can see.

Only yesterday I was wondering whether we had lost your forever so it is great to see you back! I hope your holiday has restored you and you have lots of new ideas to give us here now that you are back!
All my extra money is going into funds. Extra online earnings (all of them) are going towards my trip to USA to visit my sister. Goodness knows when it will happen but I am saving them all for that.
Extra earnings offline (like when I do over-time at work for example) go in a fund towards extra things that I would not have been able to buy otherwise.

The longer I wait before I use it then the longer I will be abe to stay with her so I just keep adding to it. I have no intention of using it for any other reasons at all!

I´m sure you have a lot in your piggybank, Di. 
Even I have enough money to travel. Of course I go aboard the cheapest plane there is. There´s a great difference, as you know. And all of them have no room for our elbows.

well, I think it is really great that you save your online earnings for a ticket/trip to the USA, to visit your sis and spend a lovely time there. I can only wish you to have the money you need as soon as possible and don't forget to send some greeting cards to your friends on MyLot :)
WEll, marguicha- maybe many of us have some savings to afford a trip, but don't want to use it for that purpoes :)
that's why Diana wants to save money from her online incomes/activities :)

When I don't need to use it for bills, most often I prefer to save for an emergency or unexpected expenses. But next week we are going on vacation for a few days, so I am using some of my extra money to be able to spend a little and have a good time while we are on vacation. It's great to save, but there's something to be said for having a good time.

I think it's wise to save online earnings for an emergency or unexpected expenses, especially during the economical depression. We never know what's ahead, so we'd better make some preparations in advance. Anyway, wish you a good vacation.

ewll, yes, paying the bills is something that we all must do and sometimes the extra incomes go right for it, but it is really great when we can use that money for some vacation or something cool that we can buy with it!

Welcome back , nice to see you again back here in myLot! Well myself don't spend of my extra earning just saved them for sometimes till I need it so! Its nice to know you have your extra income used to buy a video card for your laptop at least you have it for remembrance of your earned money from your extra job.

yeah, I used it for the video card because the old one was a sh*** :)
now I have just received my first payment from mylot and I am really very happy because I received the money I have earned in February and March!

Welcome back, I hope you enjoyed your vacation time. Well for me as much as I would like to enjoy the vacation I could not because I am working and I am not allowed to take my vacation leave.
But anyway, if I saved my money that I've got from my sideline job. I would like to spent it with my son. Maybe go out or and treat my family for a dine out. That's what I would like to do .

Lucky for you and your family that you went all to a vacation. I could not come with my family vacation this summer because I have work. too bad. But those are my simple ways to treat my family with my saved money.

well,i have an extra job here in mylot and readbud.which i guess it's not much.maybe i'll get first save it in a bank where i can multiply it more.and save it for emergency purposes.but if it will come a time that i really desperately need something to buy for myself i'll gladly use it.but i'll make sure that there will be left for emergency purposes.

Hi,there.I often spend the moneythat I have saved /earned from some extra job on buying somethind I love.I once buy a mp4 from the money I earned.And now I just want to learn to draw pictures though the money I have saved for a long time.To tell the truth,every time I spend this money I feel some grudege.But since I spend it on good things ,it's OK anyway.

Well, it is good to have some projects that you can use or make life easier for you using money that you earned from extra work. You can treat yourself to some spa or beauty treats as a way of rewarding yourself for so much work.

Well for me I don't usually spend my whole entire savings buying stuff that is not important, I usually save them for emergency purposes like for example If I were to lose a job still I have the savings to help me through the tough times ahead. ^ ^

well, I never buy stuff that I don't need or think it is not that important. i have bought this video card, becaues the old one was only 32MB and was integrated, which is a real shi* for me :)
the most of my extra incomes I spend for things I need for my study as books and pens!

It is a great thing to work out the money for something you want but in fact your parents are not sure you need.That's why we all work extra time to earn much money and buy some of the things our parents are not willing to give us.Girls for example pay much on shoes,clothes,make up while boys usually prefer technological stuff like phones,cars,computers..

I think I will add it into my investment account such as forex or Stock Trading, though the extra earning might be little. My principle of earning & expenditures is that once I wanna buy someting I will consider whether I can earn it back in a reasonable time. maybe it sound cruel to myself but I think it's a efficient way to get rid of wasting unnecessary expenditures

Hello! I haven't done anything specific with my earnings yet. Right now i'm planning to put it all into a savings account. I'm thinking about going on a trip and that's going to cost a lot of money so i need to start saving up right now. Trips and airplanes can cost tons of money but i definitely think it would be worth it. Plus i would get to go somewhere warm!

Hi phoenix,I used to work as a part timer during my college so i never thought of earning money in the holidays too---i used to enjoy with the money in have earned so far----it was more of chilling out with my friends rather than thinking of working hard lol

As far as I am concerned, I think if I have earned a lot of extra money online or from other areas, I think I will make full use of it to support my family,for my father is so old now, I just do not want him to work any more. So I am trying my best to earn money , no matter on line or in the reality life. As long as it can help me to earn money, then I will be in.
