Get your pizza from a vending machine in 3 minutes or less!

Yes. It's true. The first I heard about this was a little blurb I saw on FOX yesterday. This machine puts the sauce and toppings, heats it and spits it out in 3 minutes or less! Ok. Call me crazy but something just doesn't seem right about this. Pizza making is a time-honored tradition in several countries. Heck! It even has it's own special oven! Getting a pie from a vending machine?!?!? Supposedly there are several machines at various European locations as well as throughout the U.S. Has anybody ever seen one or purchased a pizza from one???? Inquiring minds want to know! If you have, how did it compare to a traditional pizzeria pie?

I agree Ifa. You just can't beat the taste of traditional pizza, in whatever form it comes. The thing is, is there such a thing as having to wait too long for a good pizza? In the U.S., you can call a place and have one delivered to your home in 30minutes or less! lol. I think a lot of quality and flavor gets lost in our desire to have things quickly. I'll stick to ordering from or going to a traditional pizza parlour! lol

I haven't had it. I was hoping to encounter someone here on MyLot who has so they could say what the result is. lol. Yeah....3 minutes is an incredibly short amount of time to get an ENTIRE pizza made! That is the thing that really got me. It's not just a slice but a whole pizza! Three minutes is certainly worth a consideration too, seeing how most people are always in such a hurry. lol.

Oh my... I've heard of those as well on FOX! To me personally it DOES NOT seem like a pizza at all, just a piece of bread with sauce and toppings on that has been heated up. Personally I like my pizza cooked the old fashion way, as well as all pizza lovers as myself! No way will I buy pizza from a cheap vending machine, I mean seriously!

It makes me think of those cheapy Totino's frozen pizzas you can get. So you saw the same thing that I did? Here in Argentina we get these "Fox Extras" in the places they normally show commercials in the U.S. Usually a couple minute expose on a certain topic. This one just happened to be about these pizza vending machines. The thing is....from what I saw, it looked like actual pizza dough. Of course I couldn't really tell but it looked like it. I'm with you a thousand percent! I'd never even consider buying a pizza from a machine. Especially with the number of truly amazing pizza joints there are! Laughable but apparently people actually do.
