hi, mylotters, I don't know anything about God. I know something about my Dog. I know gods are like dogs. God loves you. Dog loves you. I see real God in my Dog. He loves me, in his love there is no any expectations in return. Just love, nothing else. He jump upon me, play with me, happy with me, believe with me, he care me.... he welcomes me when i came home, by shaking his tail. Give respect to me... I know that is love. real love. Although he can't speak. I love to see in his eyes, i found always something there, he likes to say something to me.. but he can't...i can communicate from his eyes. I just put my hand over his head, although he can't speak, his heart thanks me. so Dogs are great to me. (If you have such or different kinds of feelings with dogs then i'd love to read)

Your dog loves you, but your dog has no soul, so he can't be the soul of God.

Good post.. We all know less about God. We know even less about Dog.. Although God is not visible we try to gain knowledge about Him. But this most loyal and lovable animal, living in our midst get ignored and neglected. I have seen dogs being ill treated and beaten. The loyalty this animal has towards its master is unmatchable..

As a moslem, we forbidden to take a dog for a pet.I take a cat as my pet. As I know, the animal didn't have a thing to think. They just used their insting, they love You if You love them. They hate You if You hate them. They give back what You've gived to them. That's all. So don't see a dog as a god, or god as a dog. What a weird think of You.

haha =D Nice comparison here huh!! Gods and DOGS?? haha =D Good one!! Dogs are man's best friend, and only those whom have dogs will really know how true that is.. hehe ^_^ THe royalty our dogs have for us, is something that nobody or nothing can be stronger than that.. hehe ^_^ What a dog wants is just really simple, attention and love from its owner and they will be contented ^_^

Well, as they say God is in every being. It is in us, and things around us. I see god in my little 4 + months old girl child. Her smile, her actions seem so god like to me. And god is in us also. We have to wake up and find god within ourselves, not in churches, temples, gurudwaras, mosques etc !!

I often think that looking at the unconditional love in another’s eyes is looking at the face of God and I think that animals and children represent all that life is about. I appreciate the comparison of God with your dog. Your pet represents what unconditional love is all about and that is certainly a gift from The Divine.

For me the presence of dog is very different from the God because God is spirit and the dog is not a spirit because you can see him in person but God you can't see him you know there's god by the present in you mind and taught.

Interesting I have never had a dog, but I have had other kinds of pets, and they always show you so much love without asking anything in return. Animals always make good companions, so it's fair to love them in return and give them a pleasant life

LOL. I remember I once tutored a Korean who always confused the two words. It took her a long, long time to see the huge difference.

I can't say anything about this post. But about, your avatar I've seen it on optical illusions - an application in mobile phones. I don't know why it became an optical illusion.

I'm a cat man myself. Cats were once worshipped as gods, and they still enjoy the worship of humans

My dog's love is unconditional, just like God's love. All my dog asks in return is to be loved in return and fed and given other care as needed. But like God my dog would love me even if I did not feed him. My dog always talks to me, but it did take sometime to learn his language. When he wants to go and relieve himself of body fluids he will come and sit in front of me and stare or he will go to the door and sit there until I let him out. So yes Vine88, you have to learn your dog's language, and he will tell you what he wants you to know.

Somehow God is talking and showing a little of who he is through your dog. You are True God loves you and He expects nothing it return just like your dog. The truth is all of what you said about God is very correct and even more. I find that dogs is like my God who is willing to lay his life for me. There was one account that my uncle was tied up with ropes, and his dogs bite the ropes until he was freed. They are very loyal same is with God. nice views about dogs...

God is the one who created dogs and all animals as well as humans. Yes I see God qualities in my dog and at times I say to myself I need to be as unconditional as my dog is. My dog Bandit is a gift from God to me. I got her 10 years ago off the street my Mom found her. Six years ago my Mom passed away and Bandit is such a reminder of my Mom's love for me. Bandit has a lot of baggage and she acts more human than dog. I know God gave her to me and there have been so many Godly moments that have occured there are to many to list. God is everywhere in humans, nature, & animals. He has so much to teach us and He uses everything on this Earth to get our attention. I love my dog with all heart but I love God with all my heart and soul. I know that when I go to Heaven all of my dogs will be up there waiting for me. How about thanking God for this wonderful creature He made. No human or animal is above God. I hope you will make a effort and get to know God the way you know your dog.

God made dogs so dogs can surely love and care. I love dogs, I have three and they are all great! They wait for me until I get home. Dogs know how you feel, they will make you happy if you're sad, play with you when you're bored, and they will stay with you even if all people are against you. Dog's love is really one of a kind.
