In the Philippines, most would say that becoming a non-practicing Catholic and attending to different ways would be converting. I'm actually trying to go the way of Christians, which was explained to me by my husband as not being a religion but actually being faith. I'm not entirely sure why I should, but my husbands parents would rather I did. I've gone to a Catholic school, and done the rounds praying the rosary, and other prayers during certain times. I am faithful to God and He is my friend, my Savior, the light in all my darkness. To tell you the truth, I appreciate everything I've learned with his family, and more light has been shed over certain things. I have learned to disagree with certain Catholic practices regarding prayer, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Of course some of the explanations related to Catholic practices are hard to take thinking as how I grew up doing these things and believing they're the right thing to do, but I must say it's been an eye-opener for me.

I have never changed the religion. Although my religion is just coincidence. Why? I never choose my religion by myself. My father did. I respect to my father and I tried to keep religion as a form of gratitude to parents. In my opinion, religion is just a way. It is just like vehicle toward the Gods. All religions are equal, depending on the adherents. Because religion is the belief, so When someone no longer believes in what belonged to him he would release it and replace with new one. I think it's nothing wrong. It's will be wrong if someone forcing a religion to others.

I haven't, but the finer details of my path have changed over time with my spiritual growth.

Hi pratheep, I haven't really converted to another religion as like you I respect all religious beliefs. My ideas have changed a lot however because I didn't always think that way. Blessings.
