The Neti Pot - How has it worked for you?

A Neti Pot is for sinus relief. I was wondering if anyone in mylot land has used one. If so how did it work for you? My daughter brought one but after using it she has not felt better and she is sneezing like crazy. I was hoping that someone in Mylot land would have used one and if so how did it work for you? Thanks in advance.

i have used something similar and i love it.. i mean its the type thats in a squeeze bottle so it shoots it more up your sinuses where i think the neti pot doesnt have as much pressure.. it will take a few times using it to get used to it because its awkward to use.. but omg its kept me from having to use sinus headache medication and kept me from sinus infections period!! its gross and annoying but i rather do it that have more meds than i already have in me!!

I guess she has to get use to it. She only used it once so maybe after a few more times it will come to help her. Thanks for your feedback.

thanks for the best response.. i recently sent away for a free neti pot and got it in the mail and am anxious to see if the difference in pressure/ways of doing it helps any

I don`t have any sinus problems but on the advice of a yogi i started using and did it for 3 to 4 years but discontinued it after that, more due to laziness than anything else. While using it i used to feel quite fresh but did not notice anything else.After stopping it i did not feel any difference in my health.

Thank you Veejay I think my daughter just needs to get use to it. It was the first time using it. I will tell her to use it again and lets see what happens. Thanks again and take care.

I have not used the Neti Pot, but I used a saline product that has the same type of deal where you pour it through your nasal cavity to clear everything out. I used it when I was having bad sinus headaches and it did seem to clean things out and it help relieve the tension in my head that was caused by the filled sinuses. It felt really awkward doing it and my nose felt kind of odd afterwards, but it did seem to help.
