Nowadays Indians have global presence and many top positions in many companies are occupied by Indians. This discussion is mainly about what you think about Indians. Some think they are intelligent, some others feel they are hard working, yet others feel that are poor. So what do you think about them. What do you think is their success secret?

I have never really had a lot of contact with india as a country as its not somewhere I have ever fancied going. But have a great day mylotting.

India has high number of professionals in other countries is not something to be proud of. Government has announced the Right to Education bill. In India we have good planners but poor executers. India is one of the most corrupt countries Though our GDP growth rate is impressive our Human development index is not impressive at all

I haven't been to India. I've always wanted to go and visit many countries of the greater Middle Eastern region--India, Pakistan, UAE, Egypt, etc--but I've heard from a few of my friends that Americans aren't desired tourists these days. I have, however, met many people from India in my line of work online. Most of the Indians I've met seem to be hard-working and driven. I think this comes from a mentality that one must work and push ahead in life. A lot of competition between Indians to land jobs is one thing that I've noticed above all others. And it's probably the one trait I respect most about the little I know of Indian culture. Instead of having people wallowing in their trials and tribulations and remaining embittered and envious, the Indian people I know pull their pants up and go to work -- to borrow an American saying. Obviously, I can't speak about the country and its citizens as a whole. But every Indian person I've met has been determined to work toward a good life. This is something I think a lot of Americans could learn a lesson from. Ours is turning into an entitlement culture, where many people wish to divide the already accumulated wealth and spread it out amongst the population by way of freebies, with the poorest by numbers getting most because of their status. "Wealth" has become the great enemy here, and folks are systematically trying to knock out the wealthy instead of attempting to build their own wealth. So this has left millions in my country feeling as if a comfortable way of life is actually something owed to them. They're bitter. Indian people seem to be much more realistic and aware that there is no great mythical piggy bank that will burst open through revolution and suddenly enrich the lives of the downtrodden. They seem fully aware that a person must earn a good life, and thus they're driven to earn a better quality of life. Indian folk are okay in my book. Instead of waiting around for someone to give them a fish, they're baiting their own poles and hitting the water to catch a bundle!

First off, I love my India and proud to be an Indian. India is the best country in this world!!! isn't it? India is a country that leaves one spellbound with its alluring contrasts and striking features in all that it beholds! One is sure to get intermingled with the plaited knots of customary and contemporary ingredients of India. Where else will you experience spirituality and solitude than in the mystic land of the lords! The rich rituals, distinct culture of India, festivals and ceremonies that India celebrates, unfold its legendary sagas. India has now materialized into an appropriate destination for various enterprises. Their success secret is togetherness and believe in work.

As far as I am concerned, I think India is a so developing country in nowadays, which can do a lot of help to the world. As we all know that the techlogy in that area is so developing ,which can be the toppest one all over the world. So the knowledge is help them a lot and give them the most in the developing. Without the knowledge there or the techology there, I think the India can not have so much success in nowadays.

I am currently working in an Indian-based company and I must say they are very good in IT/Business. The country is rich in culture and even though it is hot in their place like ours, I would want to visit the place (for free) and I hope my company would give me the chance to work with them. I just have a hard time trying to understand them when we talk in English but all of my boss are really nice. They look like snobs but indeed nice people.

Well, I've never been to India, but I have worked with Indian ingenieers, and those people were smart and hard working. However, just a few people can't define an entire nation, so I don't really have an opinion of India. When I go there I will be able to make a valid opinion

Well,I am an Indian myself and let me tell you,I am proud to be one.India is a beautiful country with a rich culture and a picturesque landscape.Their is so much diversity in India in every sense of the word that it is an honor to be born and brought up in this country. This country is home to almost every religion of the world, there are mountains, seas, deserts, jungles and what not??Coming to the people's intelligence I'd say that we are blessed to be in a country where there is wisdom of vedic literature to learn from. This makes Indians get an edge over the others.People from all over the world come to this sanctimonious place to seek salvation. And with rapid industrialization taking place now,the biggest weakness of the country, poverty is also disappearing slowly but surely.Soon,we'd be amongst the most powerful nations of the world...:)

If we compare India to its past then obviously it is growing at a fast rate. And it has global presence. But there are still many factors to consider. To grow India more faster we have to accept its drawbacks. There are many people living below poverty line and education level is also not good. We are facing problems of crime, corruption. We Indians are ambitious, caring, lovable and spiritual.
