When no mylot discussions seem to be interesting anymore...

Okay, I'm sure that every active mylot member has had a time when there seem to be no more mylot discussions that makes him/her interested to respond to at the moment, so in this incident, what do you usually do? Do you still persevere and go on searching for topics or maybe just start your own? I haven't been active lately due to many reasons and one probably is because of the same reason my topic presents. As for me, when I reach this point, I normally search for more but nowadays I just go web surfing and stuff. How about you fellow mylotters?

Yes, I think I will bump into such situation occasionally. And when the topic I started did not get much responses, what I do is... I stopped mylotting for a number of days in order to recharge as well. And once I over with the recharging period, then I will be back and start looking for discussions which are interesting.

Hi, yes~ Recharging period is something that I adopt now and then because I get so tired just trying to find the motivation to response. But it doesn't take long for me to get that motivation back. With so many new topics every now and then, it's hard to become missing in action in mylot for more than 1 or 2 week.

Oh, this sounds familiar. Yeah, I have encountered quite a number of times. My usual routine is to check out the top discussions of the day when I first log in. If there are any interesting topics, I will respond. If not, I will go for new discussions started. Usually, after browsing for about 5 pages and if nothing interesting turns up, I will just do my own research and news reading on the Internet. Good thing I don't set myself any targets to meet while in myLot.

Hi! I did start a topic about setting targets or quotas in mylot, at first I really wanted to but nowadays I just can't push myself to do so. I don't find it bad though, it's better to enjoy what we are doing right?

I think my attitude about this is similar to the one when there are glitches here on mylot and all we can do is search for older topics. I usually just try to search for older topics, or start my own discussions if I can. If not it's either lack of creativity, or it has to do with a mylot glitch. There's been times I've been tempted to quit mylot but alas I preservere through and find that eventually I do come up with or find great topics that I want to respond to.

Oh, so you actually got tempted to quit here? That idea did happen to pass by my mind a couple of times, but like you, I end up persevering instead. Nice to know that I am not alone.

Hi choybel! I would be honest there are really times I feel so bored that I feel there's no interesting topics to comment even if there are tons out there. If I feel that way I just shift to surf other sites because for me it's not best to make comments just for the sake of earning. I really make sure that I love what I am doing and I feel what I am sharing.

Yes, I do agree that we must love what we are doing, be it replying to discussions or starting your own. So, what do you usually surf on about when you're out of mylot?

hi choybel, Well, it happen to me many times. There are times that when I cannot respond to any topic, I, myself do the discussion. But rare are the times like that. Most of the time, I cannot think of any topic to discuss nor have the willingness to respond to any discussion here. Whenever that happens, I just go to other sites like Triond and Bukisa where I am publishing my articles. And sometimes, I am just updating my blog. Honestly, my blog took much of my time. And there are times, that I cannot put any idea in my blog that I just go to livemocha site and study foreign language there. So I can say, time is so gold for me that I cannot waste any single second if I cannot think of any discussion or cannot answer any topic here.

You seem to be very active online, judging from the activities you indulge in your response. What keeps you going, if I may ask? I think I cannot level with you but I do admire you're diligence and wish for myself that I, too can be even just half as half active and diligent as you are. Don't you get brain-drain sometimes? More power!

Before, when I don't find most of the discussions interesting, I usually start my own discussion. But, nowadays, I get tired of making one.hehe. As for now, I earnestly look for some topics that are thought-provoking or just give me something to write.LOL. If there is really none, then I'll just do some covers of my fave songs.hehe

it happens to me a few times. so when i seem to be seeing no better discussion that could be interesting to me, i go to my unresolved discussions and look for the best response and mark it best so they can be resolved. sometimes, i also go on searching the internet for some new ideas on how to earn extra money online.

Indeed there are days that discussions around here do not attract me at all. When that happens I don't stay longer. I would rather go to other sites like youtube and watch videos. That sight has been very interesting.

Hey choybel! I know that there are some days that some of us find more topics that are of interest than others! And then there are some days that we don't find as many that interest us! For me, I usually can find enough discussion to respond to no matter what! And if after responding to my emails in my inbox and then go to the "hot" discussions of the day and I finish those then I do go "surfing" the web for other things to do! But, usually by that time I have spent just about enough time online and I am ready to go watch TV or read one of my books! I happen to love mylot and spend alot of time here usually! If I am not in the mood once in awhile, that is also ok too!

When I can't find any discussions to post to, then I will just quit or take a break for awhile, and do something else like the other sites I am doing. I will also go watch youtube videos, as it gives me something different to do as well. I am able to post responses pretty much all day though, which is a good thing, as I do enjoy being here and I do have fun, and I don't really like to be anywhere else. The knowledge I have gained here is priceless. I hope to contimue doing what I have been doing. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Enjoying and learning are the two major things that can be done and gained here and should probably be the case for most if not all of us mylotters. Good luck to you, too.

Sometimes i come to my lot and i see numerous discussions I 'd love to respond to. Sometimes time does not permit for this do I do what i can. Yet there are other times I search diligently for discussions that keep my interest. Coming to mylot is worth the time and effort. There are many good discussions out there that deserve responses.

It happens every week when I dont seem to have interests in mylot topics. Sometimes the topics are talking about the same things I have answered before. If the are no more interesting topics during the day, I always resort to emailed topics from friends. I choose from their topics and make a response. That way, its easy to me to look for something I can make a respond rather than open all interest and look of a good topic.

hello. i'm quite new to mylot and am still feeling my way around. i first look into today's top discussions, then hot topics, then the recent ones. sometimes i find old discussions that interest me but they don't seem to be active anymore. would you advice that i respond to these?

I really don't know if responding to very old discussions still makes you earn, but otherwise I don't think there is a violation to responding to them. In fact, I do it myself sometimes, and as I have always said, learning and enjoying is more important here. Welcome to mylot and enjoy your stay here.

This is a perennial question here.I do search for a while and try to start my own discussion. We all must contribute to the quality of the discussion and let others follow suit seeing that only the quality discussions get interesting responses that too in plenty.

I tend to respond to discussions from the big and popular interest grops most of the time, but if I can't find anything that I want to respond to I start looking at the smaller and less popular interest groups. Some of the discussions that I find in those groups are pretty old, but I still like to respond to them if the topic appeals to me. In my profile I have added a lot of different interest groups, because I am interested in lots of different topics, and I am usually able to find somethig to respond to, sometimes I just have to spend a bit more time on finding the discussions.
