Hello mylotters, warning for those who are eating while reading: This a gross question... There are shows like Fear Factor and I'm a celebrity:Get me Out of here that challenge their contestants to eat live insects like bugs or crickets. If you will be offered to eat a live cricket or bugs in exchange for $150, will you eat it? If not how much should the show pay you, for you to eat live bugs or crickets? Have a nice day!

I would probably do it. Just depends on the bug an if its clean. Some bugs would cost more for me. Like I wouldnt eat anything that if i squished it it was just like oozing.

I cannot imagine what sum of money I would demand to eat a live insect. The thought of it just gives me the chills. If i were on a reality show and moving on to the next level meant eating the live insect, I would surely be disqualified quickly. Someone else can take my place in insect eating. I'll take real food.

You know, all things considered, there are a lot of absurd things that we tend to do for money. Like for instance, working a job that we hate, because we need the money. It might pay little, the conditions might be horrid, and the boss might be someone who is harsh and could care less about any discomfort in the workplace but we still work there. There are times where you would be better off navigating over a pit of crocodiles to get the two hundred dollars or whatever, being nailed to a wall. It might be less hazardous. With that being said, eating live bugs. Hmm, that's quite an interesting question. It really depends on how badly I needed the money. And it depended on what kind of bugs as well. To be honest, desperate times do call for desperate measures. And even if that was not enough money, keep upping the price and there might be a price. One hundred and fifty dollars is not really a lot of money all things considered, but when looking at some of the jobs out there, there are things that can be done that are more demeaning for a similar amount of money.

Gross no way especially not for $150 but there's a very very tiny chance I might consider it for $1 million dollars but like I said very tiny chance would do it for even that amount, besides I would probably be gaging so badly that I wouldn't be able to get the insect down my throat, its just not worth the mental and physical stress.

I don't think that I could eat live bugs, not even if I got a lot of money. I know that there are people around the world who eat bugs, but as far as I know most people roast them or cook them and they remove the guts before they eat them. I don't like the idea of eating a bug, but if it has been roasted or something like that, it would probably be a little easier to eat it, and in that case I might consider it. If the bug is still alive I would turn down the offer.

I would love to say that I'm tough and would totally do it, but alas, it really just grosses me out. I know I wouldn't do it for $150 and I am sitting here trying to decide the price on such an act. My smart brain tells me to do it for $500, but the squeamish girl of me says it would take a couple grand.

possibly it depends on how bad i need it or if i just want some spending money that day. Sometimes i feel like i'm bipolar some days i find some things so gross and i'm a germophobic or i'll won't eat off of someone then some days i just don't care and i'm might drop something n still eat it like once i dropped a pizza haven't ate all day i still ate it normally i puke if i did that on some other day. So maybe, i will maybe i won't i'm a roller coaster.

hi,Shows are really making the best for introducing new concepts to drag people.Money cant do such things. We are humans .If this is encouraged then shows will soon come which say eat a live human. So where we hav to stop our crazy shows and what terms should be put on such shows the government and the people should decide.

Hi Karlle, I am not fearful -- and not rash too -- and I proved it many times in my life. I think that these shows are stupid : anybody can eat a live insect. I will not do this in a public show for money : the "celebrities" doing this are depreciating themselves.

No, and I'll tell you the reason why. People who eat insects are idiots. I wouldn't eat an insect even if it were for billions of dollars. It's just so unnaturally disgusting.
