I remember there were many Japanese movies in my city when I was young and some of them were on T.V. as well.I used to watched those Judo movie a lot when I was young. But in the last ten years, things had changed. The Korean movies seems to be more creative and many good movies came out from South Korea. Japanese movie seems getting behind the Korea production.Well, what do you think? Which one do you like the most?Share with us?

My favorite type of movies are Korean movies. I think they're best type of movies are romantic movies and also many people seem to like Korean dramas. I just how that these movies are all funny, sweet, happy, and sad. They invoke different emotions from me and from many of their watchers. I love them all. =) My top 5 Korean Favorite movies are relatively old but classic: 1. My Sassy Girl 2. The Classic 3. Windstruck 4. A Moment to Remember 5. Il Mare If you want to cry and be sad you should watch Sad Movie.

Wow i had watched four out of five in your list of top 5 Korean movies. I think I should watch a moment to remember to complete your list. Oh I think I had not finished Il Mare but watched Lake House with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves which I think is adopted from Il Mare. And i super agree with you on the top 3. And I remember that the first half of Windstruck made me laugh and the other half made me cry non stop. The Classic is simply classic. This is where I came to love Son Ye-Jin and Jo In-sung. And My Sassy Girl set the standard for me for all those romantic comedy with a touch of drama. You might also want to try Millionaires First Love and Daddy Long Legs but prepare some tissues.

Hey I'm glad we have the same taste in movies! Let's have a movie marathon!! yay!! I just feel that Korean movies are 10X better than American movies, they even have the same ideas in some movies but make it so much better. A Moment to Remember is similar to A Walk to Remember and Il Mare is indeed just like The Lake House, which originally came from Il Mare. Back when I was in high school people always debated which was better. My Sassy Girl or The Classic. I think that both are great movies. I like movies that make me cry because I'm happy. My Sassy Girl was the first movie to do that to me. =)

In my country American movies are a lot more popular than movies from Asia, and it isn't easy to find movies from Japan or Korea, but I have managed to watch a couple of movies from both countries. I like Korean movies the most, I don't remember all the names of the Korean movies that I have watched, but some of them are very good I think. I liked "A tale of two sisters" very much, and I would like to watch other movies from South Korea. I also watched some movies from Japan, but I didn't like them as much as the movies from Korea.

Hi Well.it seems that most people here perfer movies from Korea than Japan...... I wonder why?? Is there any superiority in ur eyes in Japanese movies?Or what exactly dose them attract u? In my opinion, they are quite similar, especially horror films,I have to admire they are top in Asia.Maybe Korea pay more attention in shoot skills, the scenery in romantic story are extremely beautiful, but Japanese like to give the priority to the plot...

I prefer Korean movies and dramas nowadays. The plot lines for Korean dramas tend to be more dramatic and creative. I just love those tear jerkers and watching them with my girlfriend sure has its perks. haha

I like to watch both Korean and Japanese movies. I think Koreans excel in are romantic comedies with drama type of movies. The movies makes you laugh, cry and fall in love. On the other hand Japanese excel in horror moves. Their movies are really scary and I think that is why Hollywood has been adopting their horror movies like The Ring, The Grudge, The Eye. I like their horror movies because their is a good story behind it and not just a non stop killing spree or something you mostly see in Hollywood films. And Hollywood also adopted some Korean films that are mostly romantic like Sassy Girl and Il Mare (Lake House in Hollywood). Oh now I notice Hollywood has been adopting a lot of Asian movies huh!

My family is japanese, so I have seen quite a few Japanese movies. I don't really care for martial-arts movies (or any action movies in general), but I do like the more eccentric Japanese movies. I just watched Kamkaze Girls a week or so ago and LOVED it. There's also this other animated Japanese movie called Paprika that's pretty interesting. I haven't seen any Korean movies, but I have also heard that they are good these days. I heard about a vampire one called Thirst, and I'm curious to see it.

I still love my Japanese Godzilla, Roday, and Ghidra movies. They're funny and bring back good old times when you sometimes cared about the monsters since it was man's fault the monsters existed. I liked seeing Rodan fly over houses and buildings with hurricane force winds tearing things up.

There are some good movies in both the Korean and Japanese industry- i like them both and have watched a lot of their movies and series. But I think Korean movies are more of a hit in our country because I think there is something lacking in Japan movies- emotion maybe- but i don't mean anything bad about it. As I have seen Jap are good in horror- Kor not so. Jap and Kor are both good in comedy and drama-I really enjoy both of them. But in romance I prefer korea.

Hi..I used to watch Korean movies but nowadays I watch Filipino films..I think we a have very good films and ones that tackle Filipino culture and I'd also want to think that I help the country in doing so and I help in instilling a little patriotism to the kids at home. That is just my opinion though and Korean and Japanese movies and dramas also are good.

Hi, I guess you are right about it. Nowadays, most of the Japanese movie evolved from Japanese drama. I guess it's due to the competitive film industry. But I would rather see quality Japanese films than quantity Japanese films. So it's nice that although production seems fewer, but most of them are nicely done. I like this film "Time Leap". The story plot is about the female lead who suddenly had the ability to jumps between times and day of a week, and it started due to a close encounter with a murderer and suddenly jumps from Sunday to Tuesday and then, to another day of a week and so on... The plot is nicely done where the one week's time is complete pieced up at the end of the day with a guy being roped in by the female lead to assist her. Although he doesn't have the same ability as the female lead, the guy's view helped us(the audience) to understand the day and time the female lead is in.
