The latest software I've downloaded is OpenShot Video Editor, wich is a non-linear video diting softwre for linux, designed keeping Ubuntu in mind. I downloaded it because I needed to edit a simple video and I was looking for a good video editor for linux. i've tried other editors before, but there's still not a single editor for linux that can compete with the ones found for windows (videostudio, premiere...)...

Double Driver, it's a great tool that allows you to make a copy of all the drivers on a machine before reinstalling Windows, and allows you to restore them again after. Very handy tool, saves the hassle of having to find them all again, which is sometimes quite a hard job! Lee.
