P30pl3 rite lyk3 diz??? You know witht he numbers for letters and such. I just find it so annoying to have to read that. What about you do you like it, do you hate it, do you write like that yourself?
I must point out I dont mind people writing something like 2day or c u but when its an entire paragraph with that bull...ugh...enough said.

All it proves when someone writes like that is that they do not have a grasp of the english language and don't care either. Society today is so lax on teaching kids today how to spell and proper grammar and sentence structure. In my day, I used to win spelling contests for words many years my senior. I used to read the dictionary regularly to study for them, so that taught me how to spell many more words and their meanings.

Yes I often see alot of speeling errors too. And with the text the way they write it now a days you dont know if they have done it on purpose or ittentionally. I too use to be quite a food speller back in grade school I would always get all my words right on the spelling tests. I find though that once kids reach high school they like to use the slang and constantly use it everywhere even in school projects.

I was just going to write up a post about this very thing! I skip over other people's post that are written like that.
In fact, I do not think they should be allowed to post a discussion via 'text' style anyaway.
When I was teaching, I can't even begin to tell you how many students of mine insisted their 'text' slang was acceptable in a report! UGH!

LOL thats funny...guess we think alike. But yes it is just down right irritating that people would even right like that. Im 19 and I think it is annoying even though other people my age do it. I too just get fed up with that nonsense and want to just skip reading it.

i usually just skip it if i come across a discussion written in that way... i just couldn't be bothered because i think the poster also too lazy and couldn't be bothered to write proper english... so why should i bother to read and respond to the discussion??? so the easiest way is just to skip it and go to the next discussion... take care and have a nice day...

Yes I agree with you there. It does seem that the writer is too lazy or just too careless to write it out properly so why should w be bothered to even read it.

hi, i feel how you feel. why would someone do that? you are simply confusing your readers of what you are writing and this may end up readers not fully able to understood what you are trying to convey if you write that way. there is nothing wrong with shortcuts as long as it is understandable. This is really informal and improper.

Yes I never did understand why they would wnat to write such improper english. It just doesnt make sense. I guess we can just pray that they grow out of it and starting writing like a normal human being.

When I see posts or profiles that are written that way I tend skip them, I am not patient enough to read paragraph after paragraph if everything is written like that. I understand why people use abbreviations when they are writing a text message, and when I texting I use some of those abbreviations myself, but I don't like to write or read that kind of language online. I used to be a member of a social networking site for young people and almost everyone wrote that way. They seemed to think that is was cool to write like that, but I just found it annoying.

This is exactly the way I feel. As I said I dont mind people writing the short forms when texting or emailing quickly and such but when you are on a forum or some sort of social networking you should be writing in the way that people will actually understand you with proper englich not all that number and using the z as an s and such.

If I'm texting, I'll use short forms like L8r or c u, mainly to fit what I want to say onto one text since I'm on PAYG. I dont think perfect spelling is necessary on a discussion site like this as long as people get the general idea because its the content thats important. I dont see the need for deliberate mis-spelling just for the sake of it. If something had numbers instead of letters like your example I just wouldn't bother to read it.

Exactly I dont get it why you would want to misspell stuff on purpose I mean they are not just writing short forms but writing it wrong for what because they think it lokks cool. I think its dumb...and is just nonsense.
I have no idea why some would want to write in such a way and I for one would not care to read it.

Hell yeah! some people are just so inconsiderate, i mean maybe some of their friends are also using the same kind of writing but doesnt mean that they should be talking to all their acquaintance that way. Like what might be good for you might not be good for me. You should know if the person will be able to appreciate or not the kind of writing that you will be doing.In short just try to think if the said person will be able to read your thought without having a problem like headache

Yes I see what you mean. Alot of my friends actually write that way but I just cant stand it and cant do it myself. When I right in proper english they lookat me and are like why dont you just write the short form or something or why dont use use this and Im like because i was taught englich (and so were they) and I mean we speak englich so why cant they just write it correctly.
