As a stay at home mom/work at home mom, I've found that working from home has advantages and disadvantages as well. An advantage for me is that I save money on childcare costs but a disadvantage for me is that my 8 month old son starts to interrupt during my calls and then I'm forced to log off. What are some other advantages or disadvantages of working from home?

I don't technically work from home-I have a cleaning business but I could imagine it and I'd say that these would be disadvantages: no getting away from your children, no real people contact, you might not get a good paycheck, taxes?, you could actually wind up working harder and longer...Advantages: no gas costs, possibly no set hours, being in the comforts of home-say working in you pajamas!

What can I say... there are always advantages and disadvantages no matter what we do. What we should is take everything in a more positive way, because nothing is perfect in this world.
Well.. if you work from home you will have a lot of time with your kids and with your husband/wife. You can take of your house at the same time. You work on your own time. You don't have a boss watching your every moves, you don't have to deal with an annoying, obnoxious and sometimes stinky officemate. Most importantly, you don't need to worry what to wear, or to wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning and deal with the traffic.
The disadvantages, you forget to put on some make-up sometimes, you forget that you need to make yourself as beautiful like when your still going out for office. You don't meet new acquaintances (you meet virtual friends lols!). What else, you're too tired to get a pen and a paper to make your to do list, you depend on your PC and printer. Sometimes, you'll forget how to write using your own hand and it makes you wonder how bad your handwritten is... well... there's a lot. I'm just too tired to type it down ha ha ha...

Every job has its ups and downs. Working from home would be no exception. One great advantage of working at home is that you would always be at home. A disadvantage woule be the opportunities would be few for you to excape work and home.

I'm working far from where I live so for my the advantage of working at home is that you can earn more than a regular worker earn especially if you are in a business or working as call center agent at home. You can also save money from commuting and fuel expenses plus the harsh environment and you get to take care of your children. The disadvantage I guess is your social life will lessen cause you don't have workmates to cheer up and talk to. Plus you will miss some benefits you can only get from working on a company. You might lessen dressing up cause you ofcourse you work at home only.

There are many advantages to working from home, but the biggest one for me is that you are in control of your own life. You make your own schedule, you earn what you are worth.
A disadvantage to working from home is that many don't take the time to educate themselves on what they are getting into, proceed to get into something that is wrong for them, and then when it doesn't work out, they call all work from home/online business a scam. This scares a lot of people who may otherwise have done great working from home, or even owning an online business, but are too fearful to try.
