it was funny today, the dogs put the kitten up a car. any way we finished what we were doing a few hrs later. went back to the other farm for lunch, and while sitting out side eating lunch i saw the kitten under the car. it had been up in the wheel arch we guess, and didn't get down. he's not harmed, and made himself quite at home. but we thought he may have learnt his lesson with cars/utes. he walked under dads ute on day and dad didn't know he was there and ran over his leg.

I have heard of this several times. My girlfriend was late for work one morning years ago because she had gone out to start her car and had heard this horrible noise. She called her brother to come over and found a mess of fur and blood. I guess the cat had climbed up in the fan belt to get warm and fallen asleep.

I don't live in an area where there are many snake. I'm in a valley. I think that cars should have some safety feature so animals and reptiles and such can't get up underneath them.

We have two young kittens at our house and they are forever getting under my feet. I will be at the kitchen bench making a meal or something and turn around and stand on a kitten. They will get the message eventually I guess as they get older and wiser, but for now they are a bit of a pain. We do not let them outside much, and never out the front yard, so there is no chance of us running our kittens over. Was the kitten hurt badly when your dad ran it over?

not really he's walking ok now, i did think something was broken but he's good now. he's a very friendly kitten as well which is good, i've had enough of non friendly ones. i did run over a lamb once and broke it's leg, up set me real bad and i also was on my way to an exam. but we plastered up the lambs leg and it was healed in about 6 weeks, and the lambe was fine. didn't stop him doing anything.

I'm so glad to hear that the kitten wasn't harmed from this ordeal. We have our first cat at home now and though we don't let Cornbread outside the house, he is always getting under my feet and I've stepped on his paw several times. I keep thinking that he might eventually learn his lesson but it hasn't happened so far. I just hope that your kitten kitten doesn't decide to take a ride like this again. Good luck to him.
