I need to seriously lose weight any advice?

I am over 200lbs, and I need to lose weight. I told myself when I was a child in high school i would never get this fat. guess what? I am that fat now. I am trying fiber and fruits. I need to move but i am so sick. food tends to comfort me when other stuff isn't. I stay at home all day long with my folks. I always feel like dark shadows are hovering over.

Just drink a lot of water about 8-10 times a day. This helps increase metabolism. One glass of water after waking up, helps activate internal organs. 2 glasses of water 30 minutes before meal, helps digestion. 1 glass before taking a bath helps lower blood pressure. 1 glass before going to sleep to avoid stroke or heart attack at midnight. That will be a great help. You can try simple yoga stretches or walking in the morning.

I am sorry, but I have always been told not to have water shortly before bed. I usually stop at 6 pm (food and drink). But plenty of water before that is great. I really think that it is preference. I just prefer now not to have anything after 6. But it depends on your lifestyle, your habits, and you (in general) on what you do. You just gotta find what works best for you and stick with it. No one is the same, so what works for one person may not work for someone else.

hi fay, I understand what are you feeling right now and the depressions that you are going through with regards to your increase weight and how are you going to resolve the problem.. In my opinion, the best thing you have to do first is to seek a professional help from a physician, for him to analyze your metabolic conditions. Sometimes, if we do the proper way choosing the foods we eat, it has no effect in our body because there are some factors that contribute to one's illness. I believe that you ear fruits and fiber rich one's which is healthy for our body to fight many toxic chemicals produced by our body from the waste received. After you had been aware of your medical conditions, you can ask for the doctor to give you dietary food pattern which you will follow everyday. If you have high cholesterol level, oatmeal and pineapple juice is great. High sugar content level, take foods that will reverse the effect on your body. Physical activities like exercise which will give you sweating, perspiration that will help to burn you stored fats in the body is best for you. Having even a walk exercise, breeze walking with your folks every day, will be a big help also for your goal to loose weight. You can eat foods but must be eaten in minimal only.. Take the procedure of slow and minimum food intake of carbohydrates, junk foods and red meats. At least drinking 8 glasses of water per day is good to neutralize the foods stored in your digestions and reduce your body acidity level. Avoid mental worries which can cause stress for you which prompted you for a divert option of eating to much and will possibly give you many unwanted disorders in the body. Sometimes, being obese in not only brought by the food we intake, but other factors in the body like our glands and metabolic conditions that trigger or alter the condition of our body giving us negative in effect. Lastly, having an inspiration in your life plus the determination to achieve your goal is the basic key to loose weight for a good intention. Regular healthy exercise, the choices of food to eat with a meal pattern, reading many articles related to your condition will all contribute good effects for your goal. Think positive, I know you can achieve the goal you wanted. Just be patient and make your day organize so that you will feel easy with your activities and foregoing plans in life. Happy mylotting

Well said. Depression can very easily lead to weight gain. It is a comfort for us to enjoy food, just as many pets and animals our trained with foods, humans can unconsciously train themselves to indulge when they begin to fell sad, or depressed. Go to see a few doctors, and do find that inspiration in your life. Also I recommend tracking you calories. Set your goal for calorie intake in a day. Then make sure you write down your calorie intake per meal. Try to spread meals out, instead of two sides with a meal, have the main portion, and 1.5 hrs later have a side. You can do it! Good luck

I understan what you mean. Food always comforts me. I love eating food. I do eat a lot but not as much as when I was a child. I think that slowly I am learning not to eat as much but I just can't help it. I do exercise though which is something that I love to do and I guess it keeps me from gaining too much weight. I am currently trying to lose some weight but it's hard when you love food so much. I think that you should start doing some form of exercise and try not to eat as much. Try and remind yourself everytime you reach for more food that you should not be eating again. Another thing that provides me comfort is watching TV shows. I repeatedly watch Will and Grace episodes but sometimes that's not even enough. Just take it slowly and remind yourself not to reach for those donuts. I know that it's hard, trust me I know but little by little you can do it. Reach out to your friends as well. Maybe they would like to exercise with you. It's better to do it with friends then to do it alone. Good luck with this and I hope that this helps.

just continue eating fruits and fiber and try adding fish to your diet. If you get hungry drink a lot of water so that you will eventually feel full. Drinking water also helps increase your metabolism. Most importantly try and stay away from the kitchen. You will get easily tempted once you pass by the fridge.

first, stay positive and always think that you can accomplish your goal. then, be focused. here are some of the tips i have read: 1. make a food diary - list all the food that you eat, and roughly how many. do this on a daily basis for 1-2 weeks. from here you will know which of the "not good food" that you take in and how much healthy food you eat. 2. cut down on the junk and eat healthier, organic food. avoid fast food! 3. exercise daily and focus on it. move your body always and be active. instead of taking elevators, why not use stairs. yoga is a good alternative too. 4. eat moderately. avoid snacking! 5. boredom leads to over-eating. and look for other ways to comfort yourself: reading, crafts, or even exercise! 6. drink lots of water. 7. get enough sleep. basically, the summary is this: exercise/move your body, and eat moderately. don't stress nor obsess about it. just eat healthily as much as you can, and stress again the importance of being active. i should know, because i try to eat healthy but dont really exercise, the result is no weight loss.

I think thet best video workout is Jillian Michaels, "30 Day Shred" with warm ,workout and cooldown its olny 28 mins long. Believe me you will feel it the next day and have results within a week. You can lose inches all over fast. Good luck.

Well, there are a lot of ways for diet control. And each method is applicable for different people. But in short, I believe two major ways will always help. The first most important one is diet control. You should fill your stomach with nutritious but low fat food. Nutritious doesn't mean it's necessary high in calories. The right nutrients will help the body to keep the weight down in fact. Amazing isn't it. Secondly important factor is exercise. No matter how good we control the diet, we still need exercise to burn the existing fat. Besides, exercise will help us to stabilize our digestion, disposition and sleep. Ok. I wil be a proof for you. I am 76kls last december. I'm afraid this obesity will lead to complication like Diabetic problem and some other psychological even. Now what I did is everytime meal time. i never sit at the table. I just stand and eat about 4 spoonful of food. That is start end of January. Now im only 62kls. the plus thing is I always drink water to increase metabolism. Clean up kidney and fell full most of the time. But if you think you are really that FAT then is a REDUCTYL about 89 here in mindanao which is very effectie. Side effect of course is headache but you urge for appetite is decrease. To countereact again the side effects, drink water always coz you will have dry mouth with it.

hi samafayla33, there are many ways that you can diet.. they say you can exercise at least 1 hr a day and drink 8 glasses a day.. my only advice is do not deprive yourself when you are hungry. what i mean is just eat and eat until your brain tells you your full and thats the time you should stop eating.. because its bad for your health if you limit yourself when eating... =)

well first you need to change your eating habit and your lifestyle.i mean don't u have any friends or boyfriend??man,,it sure is awkward.eat in a small amount and don't ever eat too many at once..consume plain water than sugary one and try to avoid junk foods a while..

Hi samafayla, The most important thing you should do is , deciding to lose weight ! Realizing that it won;t be easy and know that you are strong and you can do it!!! For last few years i gained more than 30 pounds. I am around 150 now , and i was never that heavy before. a month ago i started to go to gym 4 times a week , running 3-4 miles and doing other exercises as well. You can start walking 10 minute first day, 15 minutes next day , 20 minutes other day. I know you said you can not exercise but you should , without exercising, i mean without making your muscles work , it is so hard to lose weight , only dieting is not enough and not healthy as well. When you start seeing the results you ll find more power inside you to do further !! I wish you luck and know that you are not alone , and you are strong!!!!!!

Well, you should start to discipline yourself first. That's the first step. You should learn how to control yourself. Minimize the intake of foods which is rich in carbohydrate. Instead try eating foods that is high in fiber. Exercise at least 20 minutes to burn fats in your body. It is also good for the heart. Drink water as many as you can. Try engaging yourself in a yoga, jogging or aerobics class, these things might help you to lose weight. It can also help you to gain confidence. Every morning try to walk in the park. Don't force yourself to get into a diet if you can't. The more you not eat, the more you starve yourself..the more you will get fat. Just minimize the food that you are eating until you get used to it. Well, goodluck to you. That's all that I know.

Eating alot of fruit is not a real good idea. Fiber and fruit could make you sick. You need some vegetables and mix it up a bit. Drinking alot of water to wash out all the toxins and fat is a good idea. If you lead a seditary lifestyle you are not going to lose much. You should five or six small snacks/meals throughout the day. And don't eat late in the evening. You need to move if you plan on losing weight. Walking is a great exercise. Start out with just a short distance for several days and then go further. Don't weight yourself all the time. Once a week is good. Good luck!

Hi friend, you will take Oats for breaks fast it is the best. One thing you remember you have to give up dinner only you will have fruits and one more thing you have to take more water it will be good for health. Most of the day you take only fiber. you have to purchase one rubber ball and you can press with you finger that is good exercise.u can do your work if u can do it is also good exercise. I hope you recover soon
