Buying or Renting?

Which is more logical? Saving your money for years to buy the house in your dreams or to rent it just away? I'm the buyer kind but recently I have been thinking that renting can be a good choice too. At least you don't have to wait so long to start living in a house you desire.

more and more people are renting because the fact of the mater is, its getting more and more expensive too buy a house, but their just pros and cons you have too think about when your buying or renting you can only do a certain amount in a house when renting and owning you can remodel and do such more. hopes this helps! good luck

Like you say alocure, it is getting expensive to buy a house. So, we might end up with no house to remodel :) If you decide to rent it, you have plenty of houses to decide among. If you get unhappy you can always change it.

It will be very hard to find a house of our own taste.Either for rent or buying,we have to search long before making a good decision.Even then, you may find it uncomfortable or feel cheated in due course. So,the best option lying before me is to build your own house. You won't feel dejected at all at any time.

If I could afford it I would prefer to buy a house instead of renting one. If you buy the house you are able to make the changes that you want, you don't have to ask for permission all the time and there are no restrictions about pets. I have many pets and that is hard to find a place to rent with all those pets. My husband and I have found a house that we would like to buy. It is too expensive for us, and when we talked to the owners they asked us if we wanted to rent the house instead, but we weren't able to keep the pets in the house and there were other restrictions, so we turned down the offer. We are still interested in buying the house, but I don't know if it is realistic to save up that much money.

I have both rented and now I am buying. I wish I would have started buying a long time ago. I don't have to ask permission to paint a room if I want and I have a choice of what goes in my yard as landscaping goes. But there are some perks to renting as well. But I can't think of any right now.

Have rented and now decided to buy a house. Renting is throwing away money. I can never own the place I am renting and there is no equity in it. And besides, i want to have my own permanent address. i will not have to worry about lost mails and changing addresses on my id's. sounds logical, ayt? im definitely buying....

I guess its better to own a house than renting it. The structure depriciates but the land appreciates in value. If you are renting a house, non of it goes to you but you pay. However, if you own it, it doesn't matter that it gets old as long as it is yours anyway.

Well i wished for a dream home. And i got it recently. I got little amount for it and rest through loan. I am happy i got my dream home near my farm. Investing on home is life long asset for us and kids.

I'm actually going through a debate in my mind right now about this subject. In a way, I'm tired of apartment living. My heat is controlled by my neighbor below me, and of course, it is not central air either, so I have a window unit that I put up once a year. And, the landlord could fix up this apartment by replacing some of the windows that are in bad shape. I am, however, finding myself looking at houses and actually found one on a realtor site that would just be perfect. Perfect price and perfect size. But, I'm not sure about the finance end of it, because I do not have perfect credit. I think a part of me is ready for something else, housewise. I could have pets again...lol I miss not having an animal around, sometimes. With having my own place, I could get a kitten!
