Wouldnt it be Mean if you Whistle in public? Trust me you're going to enjoy it once you get going with those big whistles which can make heads turn in a busy street I really struggled to learn it-----say i started practicing it in 2008 and was successful in implementing it in my college farewell which took place in 2009 Its seems pretty much easy ----but it becomes tougher as you progress with your practice sessions----It was a mission impossible task for me though . Would you feel shy to whistle in public ??? How was your first experience??? Woooooow first of all Can you Whistle with your fingers ?? I have never seen foreigners whistling except in few Indian Movies-----may be i was too busy in practicing

No offense sweetie, but if your whistling sounds pansy, MAYBE, you should try and scream like a girl then. What do you think, won't that help?? TATA.

I have never been able to do that. I tried years ago but finally gave up! I had friends that did it to call their kids but I couldn't ever get it to do right. I can do a pretty good regular whistle.

I cannot whistle, but that is ok because I wouldn't do it in the street even if I could as that would not be considered polite where I live. Do women whistle in India? My dad would never have whistled in the street but he could carry a tune whistling and used to whistle songs at home while doing chores. My mum could whistle songs too. They tried to teach me but I could never do it.

so it was a mission impossible task for them to make you learn whistling. Women in india do not whistle in public but they do show their skills in their homes lol .you can expect some women who work in farms to do so not those who leave in cities as far as my knowledge. Mostly youngsters in theatres make big sounds and they're soooo loud

Hi, sunnycool. No. I can't whistle even if I did not have my fingers under my tongue. I never was able to whistle. All that can come out of my mouth is, a soft wind sound. My husband is so good at whistling. I tell him that this is something I could never bring myself to do.

what you're waiting for then you should be learning it from your husband and i'm sure you have enough to offer in the form of fees ---just kidding There is a small technique---all it takes you is to implement it in the best way and then you make heads turn in a busy street lol

And I think we'll need more then whistling to get rid of that scary ghost lol.

I am not sorry for bursting your little bubble about the foreigners, BB. But, the south africans are very good whistlers. With and without their fingers. Most of them were raised on farms and that is where they learned this annoying and irritating whistling. TATA.

I'd like to challenge the world record..I don't need fingers to whistle loud..I've been told I'm the loudest, strongest, clearest whistle most people have heard. I've never been able to whistle with the finger technique I probably would be shy to just whistle loudly like that in public-but it's better than screaming. I usually don't whistle around others because of it's decibal range

No I am too self conscious to sing loudly-I have really bad rhythm-I took violin in HS and failed music theory

OMG! I've been daydreaming to whistle like that! I tried doing it long time ago but i was so frustrated that i stop practicing it. I admire females who can this stuff lol! It's like they're not a afraid to be kind of boyish and whistle like that in public. Some say when a girl does this it takes away their poise. I don't care about that and I still want to learn this! I should look on youtube on how to whistle with fingers lol! Ooh I see myself now whistling and hearing the high pitch sound produced by it. Music to my ears!

I don't know how to whistle. There are those can whistle without their fingers under their tounge. ACtually I envy those who can whistle, for me they are very talented. Yes I agree, it was a mission impossible to you and I am happy that you can whistle. Keep whistling.

lol there are a lot of talents apart from whistling and it isn't impossible as well as we think----you learn perfectly as you practice it each and every day---make sure you complete your practice sessions in your home else it wouldnt be so goood

I did not think you put the fingers under your tongue but I've not been very successful in using my fingers to whistle. I just whistle with my mouth by sucking in breath and puckering my lips like a fish and then pushing my tongue out? I'd try it to tell you for sure how I do it but it's early morning and if I whistle they might assume I'm being annoying, lol.

I don't know how to whistle. I have seen people doing it in many places such as concerts and movie theaters. I am jealous of them. I tried to do that many times, but I didn't come out well. The sound didn't come out as others do. Sometimes I dream about cricket matches in stadium and in the dream I whistle. I need somebody to teach me that.

I think you should be learning it from your husband Daliaj ---ofcourse you can bank upon Indian movies as well---Telugu and Tamil movies are said to have those huge and stylish whistles lol.I did learn it but never had any intentions to blow it loud in a first class hall

Good morning dear friend , ohh i have always wished i could whistle with my two thingers up under my tongue and when i used to be around my thirtheen years old o started practicing for a couple of weeks ( true i wasn't doing it every day and with every ocassion ) and i have never got to the end of it , i was getting a few results ; but never the real thing , but in exchange i cann whistle normally and clap my fingers in the same time and make it sound like a musical theme , wich i love doing every now and then , but i do it only outside , since my mom doesn't like having whistle sounds inside the house , but its cool because when i do it outside i get to make a good impression on my friends , and they keep asking for more every time i get to finish a theme (hehehe ).Well i dont find that whistleling its something to be embarassed about , since its something natural , but it is true that it does not have its place in a restaurant. Have a nice day , dear sunnycool.

I've been trying to do that since birth. LOL. Just kidding... only since when I was a very cute five-year old kid. But up until now I still couldn't do it. It's kinda frustrating so how could I be shy of whistling loud when I can barely do it? :((
