He really did chew? how cute your dog is. Can you try the finger toothbrush that baby use? or if your dog still try to chew it, go to veterinarian to ask what you should do. You can also send your dog to pet grooming station they to tooth cleaning services too.

Hello, I am fine how are you? I know that it is too expensive, I also do not send my pets to grooming station.I guess you just have to exert long patience on snowy. What a cute dog you have.

The do make a tool for burshing your dogs teeth. It is a little rubber fingertip brush that you slip on your index finger and use. It is made by Petrodex and can be found online from 1800Petmeds.com. They are very effective and will allow you to get your dogs teeth cleaner than with a regular toothbrush. Also make sure that you get doggie toothpaste to use with it. Human toothpaste can be harmful to dogs. And after you get his teeth clean, to help reduce the need for brushing in the future make sure to give him hard bones that will scrape the plaque off of his teeth.

We have three dogs but we never brush their teeth. LOL. I think hard bones or anything that they can bite or chew on will do the trick. You could perhaps buy them a toy that he like to bite. This will greatly help eliminate tartar.

Lucky you..... I feel guilty if I don't brush his teeth. He is a big dog and I sometimes tempted no to brush his teeth. But Imagine he will got toothache and he must really hurt and maybe he will distroy the house . I try dental stick and artificial bone but not every day because it contain preservative which will be bad for his health in long term.

just bring your dog to a pet salon and hey will give your dog a perfect clean-up.. :) but if like to do it youself, maybe a hard toothbrush would do or a brush rather..

Hi Zedrick. I don't have that much money to let vet do the dog cleaning. I better spend the money to give him healthy food and good quality shampoo and toothpaste. Practically I do the all the grooming my self, another not a problem but I don't know why he hate toothbrushing so much, maybe I don't do it with proper way.

There's nothing better than the toothbrush. There's dog treats to help clean their teeth. There's chew toys and bones with little nubs on them to rub the teeth and gums. I use the Hartz brand tooth scrubber toy and rub the dog's chicken flavored tooth paste onto this toy and let her chew on it. These things help, but you still really need to brush your dog's teeth if you want them to stay healthy. You're going to have to try to train your dog not to eat the tooth brush. Also try quick strokes. Into the mouth and back out. It won't give the dog time to stop and chew it. Hope these things help. It's good you're brushing your dogs teeth as many pet owners don't.

Yep all the dental chew toys and treats smell really weird. I wonder why that is... But I still give them to my dog daily to help her teeth. She fights me when it comes to putting the darn tooth brush in her mouth too. It takes two people to wrestle her down and pry her mouth open! So I know what you mean about it taking patience. The Hartz tooth scrubber is a good toy/tool if you can get your dog to use it. My dog only chews on it if I put tooth paste or peanut butter on it. (she loves her peanut butter!) Too bad dog tooth brushing isn't easier huh? Well good luck! :)

I have a little Chihuahua and she hates to brush her teeth and she find its very annoying. There is no way you are gonna avoid brushing your dogs teeth, but there is something that they sell in the pet stores that is like a dog treat. But, it cleans your dogs teeth as they bite it and it tastes like food to them so they keep biting on them. My dog has white teeth because of this. There's a site that tells you about it. Heres the link. http://www.sojos.com/giveyourdogabone.html

Hi thanks for the link!. I also give my dog dental stick and few artificial bone but I think thats not enough. I want to make sure he really clean. I never try the one on your link maybe I will check it in my pet shop but its bad idea to order online because its will take time to send to my country plus sending fee is sometimes has the same price with the goods.

Hi Nangisha, You have to be firm with your dog not to bite on the toothbrush. I have not come across anything to replace the toothbrush. But here's what I do in between meals I give my dog denta sticks to reduce tartar and plaque then I also brush her teeth afterwards before bedtime that's after the last meal. I also give her monthly dental cleaning with her vet to be sure she has good teeth. If that's costly maybe every 3 months.

He never like the tooth brush from the first place. I give him dental stick too he love it but I think its not enough especially dental stick smell so strong, the smell stick on your hand when you touch it. the vet costly and he hate his vet, he now every time we go there he will get injected. I am consider change his vet to trick him.
