Prahalad Jani, the 82 year old man from Ahmedabad in India has not either eaten anything nor drunk any liquids since the last 65 to 70 years. He was kept in a private hospital and was being monitored closely by a team of over 20 doctors to see how he managed this amazing feat for so long. CCTV camera recorded his every move and doctors saw that he neither ate nor drank anything in the stipulated time frame of 15 days.Numerous tests were conducted on him during the course of the period. They also saw that he did not pass any urine nor did he execrete anything during this period. In fact he had requested them to lock the door of the toilet and bathroom as he did not need it. The only water he used was for bathing and washing his face but he did not drink it. After the 15 days were over the doctors called a press conference which was televised nationally and the doctors said that they had completely failed in their quest to find out the secret behind is fasting feat. This is true Yoga.

Yoga? Hmmm? I don't know? Not that I'D do it, but it sure is one heck of a way to reach Nirvana! Maybe the doctors should check and see how well his Chakras are openly lined up? THAT might give them some insight as to his longevity. cdrxo

Doctors can never find out the state of his chakras, only another yogi who is even more advanced than him can do so. You seem to be half informed about yoga and what can be achieved through it.Have you heard about Mahavtar Babaji who is 1807 years old and still living in the Himalayas? Read about him in 'Autobiography of a Yogi' by Paramhansa Yogananda or ' Babaji and the 18 Siddha Kriya Yoga Tradition'by Marshall Govindan whose ashram is in your country, Canada.

Hi Veejay how are you doing? I hope you are doing good. This sounds like a miracle. Do you mean this guys is surviving all due to doing yoga? If so, that is amazing and I'm going to start doing it each and every day. I'm interested in knowing how you feel about this.

This is totally amazing and incredible. A person may be able to survived without food for days but not water. I guess people in the third world country should learn his secret so that there wouldn't be any problem anymore with supply of food and water. Kidding aside it is just unbelievable but I'm sure that he had his technique or maybe his body composition is rather unique too. I'll try to follow on this as it awaken my interest.

I know of people who seem to be on a higher spiritual plane to most of us and who claim to be "Breatharians." A Breatharian is someone who has the mental capacity to survive on oxygen alone and does not need food or water to survive. I would never attempt this myself, but I am open minded enough to accept that there may be people who can do this successfully.

If the yoga really can be magical, I would also like to study, no matter how great the difficulties, I will go to India to find a teacher to learn with him. I am on television and in newspapers, seen a lot of people, neither eat nor drink, but can survive for a long time. These phenomena, the current science is no theory can explain clearly. I believe in science and worship science, but I want the truth more.

It does sound like true Yoga. I am amazed. I would think he would become dehydrated and his organs would have shut down long ago. He is a marvel. I guess too that the body does become accustomed to certain things. We can live for quite a while on will alone and this proves it.

I have heard about this man and it is truly incredible. I am open minded enough to believe he may posses some very special gifts, be very evolved or both, that is if he is the real deal which by the sound of it is pretty to debate because he has been watched 24/7 in the hospital. It is astounding...
