I just got an apartment and still have no pans at all! Someone gave me a small toaster oven. I need some good ideas on things I can make in it. I have only thought of pizza. Using half of a bun and putting all the pizza stuff on it and toasting it real good... I need more ideas I can't think of anything else it is real useful for....

Toast.....might be a good option.
-just kidding-
I've never really used a toaster oven, so I doubt I can be of much help to ya there. However, why not research some recipes for toaster ovens on the internet? That's what I'd do.
Oh, and...just don't try and dry your sweaty sneakers in it.
It's probably not a good idea.
;-D

Hey, once I heard of a guy who use a screwdriver as a toothpick, so I suppose your idea isn't that far-fetched.
The guy?
He wears dentures now, from what I understand.

You can use your oven toaster to bake some cookies, cupcakes, macaroons and even lasagna. It is even more useful than a microwave oven. You can even grill fish in the oven toaster just wrap it with foil. I'm not sure about chicken. We maybe, but it would take a little bit longer. Have fun with your oven toaster.

You have already been give quit a few ideas for using your toaster oven so i won't go into to any more. They are great since they won't heat up your apartment like a regular oven will and you can can cook any thing in one that you can do with a regular oven just not the same quantity.

Elic, my bff & Girling helper, takes those breaded meat (usually chicken) patties you can buy at the meat department & toasts them. Not sure all toaster ovens can handle that, but mine does. I'm sure you could toast nuts & maybe some firmer veggies in them, too. Frozen fries also do just fine. And of course, toasted cheese sandwiches...& well...toast...
Good luck brainstorming! Oh! And congrats, too, on getting the new digs!

Well there is always the various pizzas and toast concoctions. I liked to use mine for open faced sandwiches and to heat up foods that would go in the oven. When it was just the hubby and I there was no reason to turn the oven on for so little amount of food yet it came out nice and crispy unlike the microwave. If you have small pans just about anything can be cooked in there. Items wrapped in foil cook well in the toaster oven as well. I Like to do a little shrimp and broccoli with some Parmesans cheese on top, wrap up in foil and cook up until everything is bright in color about 10 minutes or so, though different toaster ovens have different times I guess.

No problem.. I'm not too much on it either. That's why I had to ask the question! I wasn't sure what all you could do with one...

Yeah, it has a rack AND a tray. I figured it was pretty versatile, but I really had no idea it was so useful!
