burp and fart in public

it unavoidable but when you do that in public it's better to say excuse.

I often burp in public but not fart.lol! every time I burp in public I often say excuse me if there are many people. I think burping is unavoidable because it is involuntary and we cannot control it but we can always maintain a good manner by saying excuse me if there are people in the surroundings.

Hi Adeena, Hope you are well. About the discussion that you've posted, i think that these things can be controlled. I grew up with a very "prim and proper" parents wherein they taught us that burping and farting should not be done when people are around. And also its not just right to do this in public. ;-)

hell, it was just inappropriate. i farted once inside the classroom but not to somewhere exposed or during the class. it is difficult to control and slightly bringing out the gases just felt acute. why be slow when it can be expelled fast? i only hate when it makes a sound and everyone around feel like laughing at it. burp is less fatal but if anyone hears me my reputation is shot down to flames so i try to not let it sound.

yeah, i must admit i do those but only if unavoidable. however, i try to be as discreet as possible, so as not to offend the people surrounding me. my husband however told me that burping and farting are in fact beneficial and he's so funny because he even has a quota on how much one should burp or fart in a given day! hahah!

I really don't have Idea about it All I know is when someone fart, everyone laugh and try to guest whose the suspect LOL, and when it comes to burp they simple say "excuse me" that's what I observe here in our country,

Hi Adeena! I think in unavoidable, unvoluntary release of gastro-intestinal gases in public, we should just say sorry. I don't recommend it, even if we have the freedom of expressing our gases... Because it is not appropriate. I don't even find it funny when someone does it on purpose. It's smelly and embarrassing. It's annoying too. I don't understand why someone would love to be remember or known as the farting clown of the group. The same goes with burping. Although, for burping, in some country, when you are invited to dinner. Burping is required. Because it tells the host that you appreciated the food. That it got you full and you enjoyed it. In that setting, and tradition of their country, burping is necessary. It shows politeness to the host. But other than that, we should refrain to fart and burp in public. And we can control it, in a way...Or we just excuse ourselves. (^^,)

As much as possible,I am avoiding to do that in public.Burping is ok I think but not sure but fart,I keep it friday,I do it everyday and yes you are right they are important.The last time I was not able to burp,I experienced peptic ulcer and it's damn aching.So I think it's necessary for everyday.

well. hah hah i always do that in private place ,i am not courage enough to do that in public yet. however , in public i always happened this thing ,i don't like it farting in public because sometimes it's smelly, and i'm ok about burping . But the most important is not towarding anybody when you have to burp in public and try to keep silence best. To burp and fart is beneficial for your health. so don't avoid it.

Actually it's okay to burp and fart as long as you don't do it in public. For some, who accidentally burps after eating, as long as they say "excuse me" then I guess it's fine. As long as you know your basic manners then you're good.

well ofcourse not it is not in our culture!but when it becomes unavoidable then you must do all the activities that it should be cleared in the home only!

haha its very normal for us to barp and fart many times in a day... if we don't do this things then we die fast ^^ hahaha.. but doing it on public is a very shy act... some people just stop it or try to prevent it when they are in public. but when i do it in public and if it is not preventable then i have no choice but to let it go ^^. hehehe i just say sorry to the people around...

Even though it is beneficial I think we should still do these "activities" in a proper place like in a public toilet. Burping is acceptable to do in public place but farting I don't think so especially when there are lots of people eating around you. That's just disrespectful.

If it is burping I still can accept that but for farting in public oh please that kind of bad attitude hehe.

personally i don't mind burping in public but when it comes to farting i keep that to myself xD i mean i think god made people fart for one reason and one reason only for embarrassment just to embarrass people when they are done eating xD that is why farts happen

I think top burp or fart in a public is very un-ethical, this is kind of rudeness that cannot be accepted by many people. Can you imagine that if someone that you do not know suddently burp or fart infront of you in the public, how do you think? Do you think that it is rude? Or do you think it is acceptable? I think it is depend on individual person tolerance. For me this is very rude to do that in the public.

i think burping is unavoidable, but people should not do burp or far in public, it's not polite especially beyond strangers. so that in my country.
