I am excited today because I got my first Visa card (loaded with $25) from RedGage. This is a site where you can post all of your writing (blogs, photos, documents, and links to other sites) to draw readers to your material. The bonus is that you get paid when others read your material. I write for other sites (like Associated Content, Helium, Gather, and my own book blog), and I link all my things there. Thanks to MyLot member Scheng for convincing me to return to the site. I had initially signed up, but never participated. She convinced me to go back, and I am happy I did.

Scheng is right, it was easy for me. I know I have a lot to post, but you have a lot as well, considering the number of photos you have on Gather alone! It's time consuming to link everything, but I think you will see a difference in your page views once you do. I know there are so many competing forces for your attention on the Internet, but I think spending time on RedGage is worthwhile.

You two keep saying this but when I looked at the contest dashboard not all posts are eligible for earning points. Am I missing something?

Hi Art, your post here nearly qualifies as a mention, except that you do not have any live link to Redgage. You can do so in one of the replies, just put the live link to Redgage, and then submit the whole url for Mention. Under description, just put it as forum discussion.

http://www.redgage.com Here is the site for all those who want to participate. Thanks, Scheng for suggesting that. I am sure some people will want to go over and have a look. I should have included it in the first place.

Hi Art, the problem is that you cannot put it when you start the discussion. The thread might be deleted. However, putting it when you reply to a comment is quite ok. The same thing with promoting Redgage in other writing sites. You might as well sign up Jevitt, Snipsly, Xomba, and write about your experience and include a live link. That is an easy way to win the contest as well.

Some people I know really like it, but others feel like there are too many fees with the card. I will have to get myself organized and get more writing up, and post it there as well. I think anything we can do to promote our presence will benefit us in the long run.

I haven't read all the details about the card, but even with fees associated with using it, it still isn't costing me anything or creating extra work except for linking things I have already written (for Gather, my blog, and other sites). It's money I wouldn't otherwise have.

It didn't take me long at all because I won the daily contest. Now, it will be a longer wait to get to the next payout, but I have lots of articles to link through there still. I see some people have made hundreds of dollars. I am happy just to get to payout.

It is a nice site. I really joined just to get more attention for my articles, the money is a great side benefit. Wanted to let people know that it works.

I also registered there before and didn't become active in that site until this day. I'm gonna check this site again and I hope I will earn and have my visa CARD too. Congrats anyway :)

I did the same thing. Registered then never participated. It took a MyLot friend to convince me to return. I am happy that I did!

I joined RedGage by an introduction of helium friend. Like you I posted my articles and blogs on the site and make some friends. However to be honest I don't like the site. first it's too slow, Second I post two blogs then found they are not displayed properly. something wrong with it. So I contact their help staff, but never got any reply. So I'm skeptical about the site. Did you have similar experience, How long did you get you payment? Thank you very much.
