Do you think Rahul Gandhi is ready to become Prime Minister of India?

I was reading PM Manmohan Singh's Press confrence details where he said that
"Let me say I sometimes feel that younger people should take over. As and when the Congress party makes that judgement, I will be happy to make place for anybody chosen by the party."
PM says that Rahul Gandhi is well qualified for the PM post. Seems taht Congress is all set to project Rahul Gandhi as next Priminister candidate in future and I support that younger generation should take charge of the country.
I think Rahul Gandhi is fit for the job, what is your opinion?

I am not sure I am ok with Rahul Gandhi being in that position.
First and foremost, there is quite a lot that is brewing up in the country which he doesnt really understand, and we Indians employ really devious methods to be there in limelight.
I'd rather he remains at an advisory levels for now. He has a lot to learn about the country and its politics, even if he was born and brought up in such family.

In retrospect, I think our action in Bangladesh's independence was wrong.
That country has not prospered, has it? So West Pakistan wasn't really harming it as the locals in east were led to believe by Mujib Ur Rahman, and his coterie.
And we were led to believe by our Mrs. Gandhi who was possibly eyeing victory which would help her garner support of her countrymen, and win upcoming elections.
In process, we have irreconciliable differences with Pakistan! Look at Canada and the US, they are friends. Former Soviet states, they cooperate. Here, we share the same culture, same music, same language, same looks, and still we are at each others throats. Bangladesh has not exactly been grateful for what it has received either.
Rajiv Gandhi, made the same blunder with Sri Lanka. So Gandhi's are not what I want anymore! We have enemies all around us! How many nations in the world are so badly placed? Do we thank Gandhis' anymore?
They look good, but are bad at strategies and foreign relations. That is all I can say. Pakistan too has borders with nations other than ours! It doesnt have as many enemies!
Soveriegnity of our nation should not be compromised, and soveriegnity of another nation should not be disturbed. This family didnt understand from the beginning. That is why we had first war with China.

You are right and will have to agree to the point that Gandhi family ahs made many mistakes and I hope that being Pm Rahul will not do mistakes and learn from earlier mistakes from Gandhis.
I believe he can make a difference in the country.
