Hello my friend did you know about it.
I really shocked when I hear this news because as fruit lover I consume so many red apple, pear and other bright color fruit.
I really make me worry because beside eating fruit now I now I consume candle too

Well, they are not rubbing candles on the fruit. They are spraying/wiping on liquid parafin wax. This is not digestable, it passes through and out the "other end". It is only used on large fruits (apples, pears, etc); so, small bright colored fruit does not have any.
Small amounts are not supposed to be harmful; but, if you are concerned, simply peel the fruit before eating.

i agree with ifa, the safest way to eat fruits is to wash them thoroughly before eating them. the skin of the fruits can also be wiped out with a knife, to make it safer.

I agree with speakeasy, the wax supposedly isn't harmful, but I usually peel my fruit or buy organic..Another way around this is to grow your own if you can. I have berry plants as well as a pear tree, (I also have apple, but for some reason I never get apples), and growing food myself, I know it is pesticide and wax free..:)

I am very jealous with you.
I don't have open space in my house anymore its alls has been harden by cement.
So I can not plant a big tree like apple or pear, like you did.
Now I am starting my tomato garden in container I hope it will grow really well.
Like you say start from today I will always peel every fruit I eat.
Thanks for your response.
Its really nice to hear from you.

it depends on what kind of parafin is used. if nothing is added to it, it should be safe. our people have been preserving fruit for hundreds of years by covering it with wax. didnt you know?
im not sure though if they use the same as our ancestors used. they used to can fruits and preserves, pour over wax to keep it safe. then take off the wax when ready to use. we used to have waxed pop bottle candy when i was a child and we chewed it sometimes but spit it out rather then swallow.@nangisha (3495)
