Do you like climbers? I love them! Though I find it a challenge to get them to climb where you would like them to climb. My morning glories climb along my downspout (wich is close the kitchen window pictured, BTW the pic is from last year I don't know how to fix the date on the camera ) and along my picket fence (kinda). I'm trying to train them to go on my railing but it doesn't get much sun. And I'm going to try to get them to go along my other fence that's lattice. I have climbing New Dawn roses but I picked a spot that doesn't get full sun so they grow but never really climb as they should on old growth but only on new growth so they spend all summer trying to get a few inches higher then they were the previous year.

I love morning glories. The house next to my first house had them. And as for "new Dawn" roses, great choice. lol I tend to avoid climbing plants myself because then tend to get into things and are too much work for my taste, but they're pretty...

My sister had morning glories that climbed up her fence and gate and completely covered her mail box. I bet you have some really pretty flowers. At my first house there had been morning glories planted where I wanted my garden. They came back every year. Sometimes pink and sometimes blue.

The only hard part like anything though morning glories can choke out another plant it's crawling on. They may of had morning glories in several colors. I like the crimson ones because they have such "pop" from the curb and go usually with the violet impatients I get in the front yard too. That's why I'm curious about the Saucer ones as they are supposed to be purple and streaked white.

I love climbers and the last apartment complex we were at had climbing brunsfelsia we call it here Yesterday today and tomorrow as the blooms are bright blue the first day, lilac the sceond day and pink the third daythey are so pretty and climb so well too. then there was climbing honeysuckles in pink and white all so very pretty, the complex was called El Dorado Gardens the garden part was a heck of a lot better than the run down apts. but honeysuckles grow every place.

I love climbers, I'm still trying to figure out where to plant them at the new place though! I found at the old house the best way to 'train' my hops and the morning glories was to go out and help or guide the tendrils along every day. If I missed a few days then they were off and running wherever they wanted! Morning glories do good having some string up at even intervals where you want them to be. That way they fill in a little more evenly, especially if the place you want them to grow doesn't have a lot of different things to grab on to.
