I woke up to a clean apartment this morning!

I woke up around six this morning, and as I went into the bathroom, I noticed that it looked differently. My husband cleaned it up. He mopped the floor. He also mopped the front room and kitchen floor too. I was so happy and relieved. I was glad that it was done because I really did not felt like cleaning it myself. He also cleaned up all of the dishes too. I was so thankful for this! I am glad that he has done all of this for me, because sometimes cleaning up, can become very tiresome for me to do. I needed a break and it seems like I got one. I already have to cook dinner for Sunday, for Memorial Day. This is just one thing that I don't have to do. I am glad. Have you ever been so tired of doing something, only to find out that someone stepped in, right just in time, to do it for you? I really felt like my husband really had me in mind when he cleaned up. He knew that I was tired and needed a break. He gave me one. He is so sweet and caring to do this for me.

Yay for your hubby - what a guy to step in to clean up the place!! What a cool surprise to wake up to, eh? My hubby is very much like that. It's been crazy here since my son was born in November . . . handling 2 kids (the older one is 5), it's just been hectic. I have forgotten what cleaning was - hee hee. My hubby works long hard hours, yet he still finds the time to help me out at home . . . and oh he is a life saver. Yay for hubbies like ours . . . we are very fortunate!

My partner tries to do the same thing, problem is he over does and over exhaurates on doing things. I actually have to tell him no, for that very reason. I don't need me or the animals getting sick because of the fact he likes to use harsh cleaning chimicals. Now some things I will let him do, and I have to get him to buy the right products and explain 'more isn't always better.'

That really was a sweet thing for him to do. Make sure you tell him that you like what he did and do appreciate it as well. It is always nice to hear that someone is happy that you did something they were going to have to do. My husband has done something similar for me this week. I have been so sick with bronchitis and he has cooked two really good meals for us. I was not expecting this and it was nice that he stepped up and took charge to cook for us. I really did not feel like doing it.

It would be nice if someone would step in and do some cleaning for me! Lucky you! I have to do all the cleaning myself unless I make my 10 year old son do it. Hopefully you will have a more relaxing day now that you have less housework to do.

Your husband is very considerate to do some cleaning for you. It is a very nice break to have someone do the job and do it right just the way you like it. My hubby cooks on the weekends because he has those days off and it's a nice break from having to cook all week long. I do all the cleaning around the house because I don't like the way anyone else does it. It's a nice feeling when you wake up to a clean house. Take care

They are just like kids honey! When they do do something nice we need to praise them big time and hope it happens again. I would tell him how sweet you think it was of hime to do all this. Praise the positive and ignore the negative as much as you can. Memorial present or what?

That's so sweet of your hubby. I guess he really feels how tired you are that is why he do some works for you. Many times my husband do same thing. Every morning he cook breakfast and then woke me and kids. He also do ironing clothes when he knows i am too tired after washing the clothes.

Sounds like you've got a great catch there Cream. Mine does it occasionally but not enough for me. I am exhausted! I have worked 29 hours in 3 days. Two ten hour days and a nine. I thought I was gonna collapse on my last hour at work today. I just keep reminding myself of the extra taxes I can pay. How lucky for me. LOL I am glad you have gotten a break. He is a definite keeper. dl

Be thankful you have such a great hubby! Tell him or or better yet show him how much you appreciate him. You are lucky to have such a good man in your life. He probably did this to show you how much he loves and appreciates you! It sounds like you guys are good to each other. I hope you continue showing each other how much you care.

i am not trying to praise myself dear. i also make initiative to do some household chores as long as i am not busy on mylot or something else. i can even do the dishes, filling the water containers (that's manually with the use of pails getting the water from the manual pump or jet pump as they call it), and others. even when there are kids to do those things. it so happened that our kids are already grown-ups and they can be told to do this and that, assign them tasks each.

Wow! you have got such a wonderful person as husband. You are really very lucky indeed. You got the help without asking. Yous husband's deed shows how much he loves and cares for you. I wish I could be such a wonderful husband to my wife! some times I do prepare tea for her before she wake up, and cook if she is ill. Otherwise when she is normal she does not get such wonderful pleasant surprise! I will try and give her such surprise at least one day! let me give it a try! I always found she taking too much care of mine! Let me show her at least one day that i also care equally for her.

Hello cream97! Well, you've got a great husband so you must thank him for that. I also experienced what you've said, that someone will replaced me in doing my usual stuffs and true enough, it always never failed to make me glad that i save some of my time because my work was already done. In return, whenever my husband or daughter gave me those sweet favor, i always see to it that i gave them anything that i could be able to show my appreciation for what they helped me. Sometimes, i treat them to a restaurant the next weekend or buy them toys or shirt. Life's like that, if in an instance that they're the one who needed me, then i'll surely be there for them. Good luck cream and have a wonderful day ahead!
