i have few friends how might have referred me this mylot website and now they them self are banned? i dont know what might be the reason but they tell me that in old days mylot used to delete all those discussions which were against the rules? or if there is a problem they may warn that person directly by sending them a warning message but they are not doing it? they directly ban the users and dont see any thing at all. and once you are blocked you cant do too? you cant ask question, you lose all the friends which you had in mylot. mylot is an open form and you can talk about any thing? i will see if they block or ban me for what i am talking right now or not. but if they blocked it is not an open form it really isn't then. but i ask a question from mylot administration that why are they doing that? why dont you put a plenty system? may be if some one do wrong dont add payment of that day of the user that will be good enough but banning him/her is very rude what do you people say?? is this proposed solution to the problem is better or not?? Thanks

I haven't experienced anything like that. Nor have I received warning. The only thing is follow the guidelines and read the FAQs before posting discussion. Use the search engine to see if the topic you are about to post has already been posted. I am sure the admins will not just ban a member just for the sake of banning. There must be a good reason. The rules and guidelines are not difficult to follow. And if you do that, you've got nothing to worry about, is there?

I disagree. Many of the rules are arbitrary & hard to figure out. I've seen folks who've been here for years stumble over them, & more than one of my discussions has been deleted, for reasons I could never understand. Hello Maggiepie, you are absolutely right and i agree with you. i have seen such folks too. that is what really made me mad when i see such people coming and posting replies and those who might or might not have made a silly mistakes are banned users?

@ Maggipie, I don't think they are difficult at all. Admittedly, any one of us can make mistakes. I did make mistake here. But I learnt from it and I don't do it again. I haven't been given warning yet, and I don't think any of my discussion have been deleted yet. @nina_khan, I do think they give warnings to those members who are openly abusing myLot. And it is our duty as a member to help the admins by reporting those who abuse it. If you don't report them and the admins didn't notice it, obviously they will continue to do so.

i didnt know that they banned members as theres too many members here who post against mylot rule or guidelines but i still see them posting and responding, i even post something against mylot guidelines before but i havent banned, maybe if the members already know its against mylot policy and they still keep on doing nor posting the same thing. or perhaps they have numerous account in one computer without informing mylot about it.

Hi nina_khan! I have canceled member accounts with and without referrals. We do still delete discussions that don't comply with our guidelines or terms of use. I've actually sent quite a few warning messages. Can you guess what percentage of those are ignored? You can discuss almost any topic here as long as it complies with our guidelines and terms of use. Inappropriate discussion content isn't the only reason for an account being canceled though. Having more than one myLot account, submitting false account information, and being under age are some examples. Are you familiar with our FAQs and guidelines? What is a "plenty system"?

yes i guess thats the reason why, perhaps a lot of minors trying to join but they can hide the fact that they are still minors

I believe the FAQ dealt with the payment question. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx Changing your country to get paid is violating terms of service as it comes under false information. Your friend should have asked the admins before he did that.

yes, i mean penalty system. misspelled it sorry for that. but i need all these things not to bother members. and about the multiple accounts problem. lets say i have two sister and one brothers using my PC and my internet connection how will i stop them from not using mylot. lets say one of my sister has a mylot account and i do have it too. what will i do? we both might have the same IPS so how will we manage that?? can you please explain that problem GOASKALICE? I will be very thankful if you explain all that here. because i think it is first time any admin replying to my discussions here and i really feel good about that and why not ask you complete details about each and every problem too. also there is a friend of me he was very good member and he only had a problem that PAYPAL is not present in our country he was suggested by a member of mylot to create a paypal account and change your country from PAK TO India or any country which supports paypal account so he did it and openly accepted it in a discussion of the mylot. he was banned too.. why?? because he wanted to transfer his money to his pay pal account? what will i do now?? i am also a Pakistani i want to know that what other system does you provide to your users for such problems?? he also told me its been 3 years that you havent given any alternative method to transfer so do i have to wait next 10 years for money balance to be transferred or what?? please briefly explain that problem? i think most of my country fellows have left mylot just because of no alternative method payment. Thanks regards
