This wasn't a cartoon, but a television show. The best way to describe it is that it was like Sesame Street. I just watched part of an episode last night, and I watched one a few weeks ago as well. After I watched the one a few weeks ago I researched it. Now I used to watch this show when I was younger. When I researched it I read that the ones that were the mother and father on the television show were actually married in real life. Now I believe it shows there names on the show and both of their last names are the same, but as a kid you just don't pay attention to that.
The song that they sing at the beginning (the theme song) goes something like this : Come and let's play together in the bright sunny weather let's all go to gullah gullah island. Binyah Binyah.
Binyah is the name of the frog? pollywog? yeah, well that's the name of the Yellow creature...
Did you watch this as a kid?
Did the theme song trigger your memories?
I was singing this song last night, and watched a little of the show like I said, hubby said he had never watched it, then later he said he remembered seeing episodes of it, just didn't seem like he had as a kid... which is cool, there's some cool shows I didn't watch that he watched that I now like.
Old t.v. never dies.

Yeah I used to watch it when I was younger, and it was fun to watch. I think this is the one where I told you I used to stand on a chair and flap my arms lol and have a sheet as a cape when I was younger. It was so much fun to watch, and now that I am older it still kind of cute and fun to watch. When we have kids we should get the tapes and this can be a show they watch.

I remember watching it as a kid, and just watching the few reruns I've seen of it brings back memories. I'm going to have to get my husband to watch it as well, he might enjoy it, even if it doesn't bring back memories for him :D

Hi, I have seen it a time or two, but not sure when. My kids were in High School when it was on. It was cute, though.

Yeah, it's a cute show and brings back memories for me. One in particular is me trying to fly whilst watching this show. I was in a chair, the door shut, and my arms just a flapping... silly me, I never went far thankfully.
I was in elementary school, I think my sister in Middle, which means my brother must have been in High School.

Hi, SomeCowgirl. Yes, I love this show! This family seems so happy together!!
I love watching it because everyone loves each other and they are happy and smiling. My kids love to watch this show too. It has many shows that helps a child to learn and to be inspired about. As a parent, I love watching, the kids interact with games and singing. It is a very nice show to watch. I remember seeing it come on around 4 a.m. I would wake up to the show coming on

Yes, it's about four Am when I've watched it most recently as well. I think it would come on about 2 o'clock in the afternoon when it was first aired though. They are very happy, sing songy people, inspiring the kids, and teaching them new things. Most recently I watched part of an episode where the youngest had to go to the dentist for the first time, everyone was telling her how it would be, even the kids, and they were so nice to her. In real life, it might've been sibilings and cousins alike saying "oh they hurt you... they poke your teeth out and if you have a cavity they pull your teeth"...

I believe that this one came out when I was just starting to grow out of watching the preschool type of programming, but I remember my little sister being a fan of this show. And, yes, the song does stick in my head. The thing that I liked about this particular show is that is wasn't painful for someone to watch when they were a little bit older. The music in the show was pretty good and there were a lot of valuable lessons that were taught from the show.
