Our mentor once told us to keep life going, yo need to set some things to look forward to would it be a daily, weekly, monthly or even the long term thing. Something like, having a glass of wine at the of the day, going out on a movie with your loved once this weekend or preparing for a trip abroad and a lot more to be prepared with. Have you set something for yourself to look forward to?

Your mentor is right about this. having something to look forward also make us realize that we have to have a purpose in this life. i want to look my kids grow as a good person someday, and i prepare them with knowledge

I am planning to go for a six days holidays at the end of this year to an island in the Indian Ocean and I think my boyfriend will be accompanying me which is great too, so I just hope that I can work for making it a success.

The present is a gift so it is best to enjoy the current time. The future is a mystery but there is a positive feeling about having events to look forward to. I wanted to see a particular movie and found it was on at a cinema twenty miles away. I looked forward to seeing it and used that opportunity as a day out. I am looking forward to my trip to Canada. I have booked a flight to Vancouver for later this month. If someone is having a boring day at work he or she could look forward to some freshly squeezed fruit juice after work. If the week is hard a day out on Saturday could be something to look forward to. Having things to look forward to is one way to enjoy life so your mentor is being very helpful I think.

For us at the moment the only thing we look forward to is pay day! (lol) Seriously I prefer to live in the now and I look forward to the simple things like my daughter’s smile as I pick her up from school or having a cuddle with my cats while watching T.V. in the evenings...We do have a holiday planned at the end of the year but it seems too early to get excited about it.

I agree with all the previous people who have contributed to this discussion. But i also agree with your mentor in the sense that we have to look forward to something. It may be a glass of your favourite drink. But i feel its better we have a short term career goal,a medium term career goal and a long term career goal. After every few months or so its good if we could assess whether we are in the right path or not.If we aren't we should take corrective action to get back on path.
