Zionism is not an ideology, nor is it religious movement, even not there a clear definition and konsistent, every Jewish offspring could interpret it differently. As Far I know, principle in General, Zionism it means is a non-Violent movement to return back to his homeland. So, again I say, Zionist just ideology, same term as the term "missed the house".
But why, in the end, the sense of "zinoism" into a movement of terror or, in my opinion, be like the guerilla movement for independence? anybody can help me explain this?

Zionism started as a political secular Jewish movement that supported the idea of a homeland for the Jews worldwide.
It STARTED as a secular idea, but many Rabbis accepted this idea and there was born the Religious Zionism movement.
As Jews don't support violence, unless if there is a life danger- this movement does not support violence, unless if they are being forced to use it for their survival.
I don't know how about non-Jews Zionists though...
