You could take up a hobby. Say, playing a guitar? That would keep you occupied fora few months. Try out cooking, have the ingredients delivered to your house and search for some simple recipes on the internet. Try taking up a pet for adoption, say a small dog so you could keep it in the house and keep you company. Having a medium sized dog in the house would be nice. But you would have the huge responsibility to take care of it though. That itself would take up your time.

You can play games like plants vs zombies. There are also lots of fun flash games in the net that will surely eat your time and you will never be bored. And of course my favorite thing to do to pass time is sleep.

Oh!Remaining inside the house for long days will certainly boring.Let me pray that you get well soon. How about asking some good friends to come in and chat with you?You can even play some cards ,carom or chess and get your mind refreshed.Or at the least chat with them on phone.

I can't imagine not getting around for 20 days! I think depending on how I feel, I would begin reading. Last year when I was sitting in the hospital with my son I read a lot of books. Now that he's a little better I don't get to read as much but I sure enjoyed it back then! I also worked a lot of puzzle books to keep the mind going. TV wasn't an option because sounds bothered him back then. So I don't know what to tell you if you can't read... try short puzzles maybe?

you can do online jobs and share market jobs so that you can get money also.otherwise if you have any friends play with them for sometimes like card playing and chess or even carroms.and if you are bored with that also you can learn any distant courses in this time.any small courses that you can study distantly without going to the class.or making a collection of anything like cards and coins with the help of your parents or friends will work.listening music will be a great relief.

You have told everything what everybody does.If someone else in your family is free you can ask them to play board games like chess etc etc.. with you so that you wont get bored watching TV , sitting in front of the computer , reading books & the like.

Well, depending on the illness and whether I need to sat in bed or near the toilet, I will sleep or read usually. If I am better than that, I like to have a bad on the settee and watch TV or films on DVD. Maybe you could try writing a diary or journal, poems, stories or letters? Or learning a new language or some hobby or course you can do at home?

Hi Himan, When i was advised to be on full bed rest when i was pregnant with my youngest son, i spent my time crocheting. i was able to make two crochet blouses for 10 days. I understand how you are feeling, but that's the only way you can maximize your time or enjoy the time being on total rest. do you have any hobbies aside from reading and watching TV? can you paint? maybe you can do it and later make a gallery of your paintings. it will be a good way to freely express what you truly feel while you are ill. good luck!

How about crossword puzzles or doing a puzzle to keep the mind going. How about organizing your closets or dressers if need be. Do the things you can't get to when you are not layed up. Maybe if you have pictures that need to be organized and put into albums. Experiment with cooking foods you have always wanted to try but never had a chance to do, if you have the ingredients in the house already. Layback and enjoy your favorite music relaxing and taking in the peace of the day. Good luck to you and hope you are feeling better real soon.

When I am sick and confined to bed I like to read, MyLot, watch films and T.V. or chat to a friends. Of course it depends on how sick I actually feel because I recall feeling so bad a few times that reading or MyLotting was way out of the question and I barely managed to sleep! Hope your condition improves...

I do not know what is your age and what are your interests. I find you are getting bored by watching TV or reading book. I would have suggested you to read books. Get books of interest like thriller, top-grade suspense, ghost-stories. romantic, detective etc. But you are getting bored with books. Why not start imagining what you would do after you get well or start repenting your past actions which pained others. It is not that you would get bored. Think the brighter side when you would be off the bed and start mingling with your boy and girl friends. Think about your future, your career how you would bring laurels to your family by achieving something when you are out of the disesae and what precautions you would take never to fall on the bed like this again. Take a vow that you would look after not only your health but also that of your near and dear ones. I wish you best. Get well soon.
