Have been afraid of child birth?

I was ignorant about the pains during child birth. I thought that I was just having an upset stomach. Only when I was brought to the hospital when the pain intensified did I learn that I was about to deliver. I was an orphan so nobody could advise me.I just believed on the books which said that the pain would commence on the fundus and would go down to the pelvic area. In mycase it was not like that. I was afraid. How about the others? Were they afraid too when they were in labor in the first time?

Hello it is a natural process all mothers have to pass through this steps, some take it lightly, particularly those who had earlier experience, but the pain is gone once you see ur baby,,, Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Prof

our friend here does not seem to bother responding back to the comments that she receives. it is just to create a discussion that the topic is chosen, I fear. anyhow, Professor ji, .. thanks for the encouragement. HOPE there are more male members like you, who keep motivating and soothing the would-be mothers.

Hi, I am an expectant mom and this will be my first time too. I am not afraid I am more of excited. Well my friends would share with me their experience and I am anticipating every now and then. I just pray my baby will descend any time soon i mean sooner I was dues july 1 and until now baby is still floating and i experience contraction but not the way my friends are telling me the way they had it. I am anticipating and excited mom of this little baby boy, my little angel and the most prized possession of my life. I even dreamed of holding him last night.

By this time, your baby is already born and probably a toddler now. Thanks for response

No, I wasn't afraid of giving birth...I was terrified! LOL I was so scared, in fact, that I tried to keep my baby from coming out (yeah, like that's really a possibility! LOL) But in the end I was able to deliver. And of course all the fear went away for me, so when I went into labor with my second child I wasn't scared at all, I just wanted my baby to be born! LOL Happy mylotting!

All of my friend had to have c-sections....so they weren't much help. I went into labor one week early and did not have a c-section. I was so scared my entire body was shaking! But it all worked out and is one of my favorite days! Before the thought of a baby coming out was just aweful and I didn't want the baby to be given to me until he was cleaned. At the last min I changed my mind and they put him on my belly....now I tear up everytime I see a delivery on tv and the mom holds her baby for the first time....snif snif

@sahmi it is quite an experience! Lucky are those who had normal deliveries. C-sections I guess is more painful
