i hate it when some people are only good at starting discussions but never bother to post to friends' discussion... these people are probably just interested in the money and not in the sharing of thoughts at all. what's worse is that, sometimes they don't even care whatever topic they post, as long as they keep posting.

If they just post topics but never turn them into discussions by participating in them, then they have not understood what myLot is about at all. One day they will then start complaining that they don't earn anything. There is not much we can do about them because they know best

I hate that! It's like a one-sided deal too! I feel like a lot of people are out for just the money. It's a bit sad that they can't afford to type a little, but it's their life, not ours. We can't change it

I agree! I also don't like it when people start a discussion but, even if they don't respond to everyone who makes a comment on their discussion, they don't respond to anyone. I try to respond to everyone. I know that I have missed one or two here and there but, I at least make the effort to show my appreciation for the support of my topic.

oh yes, i forgot to explain that one...i don't mean to expect the starter of the discussion to be replying to each and every post, i'm just saying that they should you know at least participate.... and respond to some posts if not all... right?

kquiming yes I do not like that either but where do all you p eople get the idea that making a zillion discussions is going to make you any money you do not get paid for the responses you get. let me repeat that you do not get paid for all those responses. why because we made them and did the typing and we get paid. so you must c omment on the responses as you are only paid for what you your self actually type. so if the person writes 20 discussions he or she gets paid something for each discussion, not a lot at all but he or she does not get paid for any of the responses, the persons who made the responses get paid for it. better to make much fewer discussions and make comments on each response than you get paid quite well too. I post more responses to my friends discussions than make discussions so I can comment more on my own discussions.

hello hatley....some people think they actually make more money by posting discussions and getting replies for 'em. but from what i've observed, mylot pays more attention to the content of our posts - whether it's a posted discussion or a posted response. i hope what i know is right about this one.... =p

True, but they soon find out that their earnings aren't what they expect because their posts often end up getting deleted. Then they get frustrated, post something about myLot being a scam, and go elsewhere!

I also agree with it. and I will appreciate you by adding a discussion or this. If you will get good response in gavor of it, then may be Mylot admin will look into it. For me my intension is not for money, I really like to share my thoughts for diferent topics.

I think it's okay to have the money as a secondary intention, or if that's not the case then at least these people should post sensible topics and participate in the discussions as well...

i also hate to see members posting a lot of discussions without commenting back to the responses. they seem to really look only after the earnings they thought they will earn. but we really cannot do about it. if only everyone will be together in ignoring their discussions, probably they will stop doing the same thing again and again.

I can't say I'm too bothered by that. I try and get to theirs but I won't be mad if they don't answer mine. Mostly I dislike when someone starts a discussion and leaves out important details or they don't come back and say anything to their responses. To me that makes me feel like they are stuck up. You don't have to answer everyone because thats just impossible but at least come back and answer a few so we know you care about what we had to say.

exactly.. i don't get that mad, as in , really mad, but it can be annoying...especially when i'm really interested in the topic, i feel like not being listened too when i request for other important details and they don't get back to me.

I like to comment on as many discussions as possible if I fell like I have something to say. I usually post comments on my friends discussions even if don't know many things about the subject of the discussion ... but I'm expressing my opinion and at the same time read some other comments in which I might find some useful info.

Sadly some don't ... some people start a discussion then leave it there and if another idea pops up he stats another discussion and forget about the previous one.

Oops. It seems that my previous post was out of the topic... Anyway, I also hate it if the only interest others want is money and the other sad part is that we can't do anything about it...they post discussions and that's it...ahaha

LoL.... if they wanna be interestd in the money, make sure they STILL participate in their own discussions and answer whenever necessary. i'm not asking they respond to each and every post they get, just answer when needed, know what i mean...

I am a member of a similar site called toluna and you get the same sort of thing happening on there as well. I think that it is only fair to both create and respond to discussions. I have only replied to a few so far but have yet to create a discussion. Somehow i have managed to accumulate $0.01 in my account and i have no idea how. I do not think that i will be able to make a living on here but it seems pretty good so far :)

LoL. :) i agree, it's fair that we make money and at the same time we post response when appropriate. anyway the money here on mylot is more of a bonus, cause the real reward is the fun and experience and learning in the discussions we participate in... and the people of course. mylot doesn't pay that much, so if anyone's here SOLELY for the money, i think they're better off finding a real part time or full time job that pays much better for their time.

lmao why is this so important to you? maybe they don't want online friends and of course their here for money, if anyone wanted to socialize theres a wide varietys of websites on the net to do that but this website is only important for money, the'res a lot of websites you can share thoughts on but who cares about online friends but people who don't have lives,

this is important when the discussion is important. if i didn't care much about what i'm saying in the first place, i wouldn't bother expecting or waiting a reply from these people. but that's just it, just felt like ranting about it here. this isn't just a money-making site. it's also a social site, hope they understand that.

I know the feeling. Some of them never even commented back to the responses made by their friends, especially when the responses were not what they hoped for. Adding salt to the wound is the claim made by them that it is their right not to comment back because they were busy with other discussions. Seems like they do not understand the real concept of myLot. There is not much that we can do about it, except maybe not to make any response to their discussions. So far a few of them have disappeared,

yep, i don't need people commenting on my responses if there's nothing more to say, but you know, some discussions have necessary follow up questions and I can't believe the started of the discussion does not ever post back, not to ANY of the responses he/she gets. sigh. lol.

The ones that do that, really don't care, and you will notice that they just don't comment back to the responses they get. I am getting ried of seeing all those discussions too, but it happens and not much we can do to stop them, except to just tell them, and hope they listen. Sod do, and dome don't, and that is the sad thing too. I just responded to a discussion that I know will be deleted, but I wanted to inform the one who started it, why it will be deleted, and they won't earn for it. I get so tired of newbies not doing what they are supposed to do, as the rest of us have to, so they should to. Good luck to you and hapy mylotting.

whoa, so you actually tell these people about it huh? I don't do that...I guess because I just want to avoid arguments. but i guess it's a good thing to do to actually help these people be aware of what they aren't supposed to do. same to you, happy mylotting and good luck.

I don't think you should take it to personally. Some people think posting is the only way to earn, and don't realize responding is just as benifical. I personally think that posting replies is just as rewarding as well too. So try not to get discouraged about what other, less experinced myloters may do.

There are people not worth thinking at all my dear ;) what i mean is some people are good and some are not , some are kind and some are foul, they may not at all care bout other people's thoughts and posts but i think what really matters is that we are able to express what we feel and what we think as well . Just enjoy the time that you have in mylot, post as much as you can, and enjoy and learn alot as well. Thank you for sharing your topic

very well said. i guess it's a fact of life in any place you can go to - there are good and bad people everywhere, everyday. so it's just a matter of getting used to these people and dealing with them in a way that shouldn't be stressful...i think the best way is to ignore them. anyway thank you for your optimistic response :D

Yeah I also hate that. I'm really bad at starting discussion. But when I started one I make sure I commented on all of the people that have posted in that discussion. But sometimes I forgot so sorry for that. Posts that are posted without any thought will more likely be deleted.

well, it's enough that we comment on some... the important ones i mean, ...but some don't bother commenting to any of the posts at all. and that's what's been buggin' me.
