People always say, if you want the best nutrient from vegetable, you better eat it raw. Actually, I am not much of a salad lover, nor I like the taste of raw vegetable. Unless you have a nice taste of salad dressing on top of the salad. I rather very much like grilled vegetable, once we done on the barbecue at my friend's house. I like the taste of it, and we just want to try it again. Have anyone ever tried grilled vegetable?

Hi Kingparker..Grilled vegetables are wonderful and something even better is roasted vegetables. Cut up your veggies, put them on a baking tray, drizzle extra virgin olive oil and salt and pepper over them and toss with your hands to make sure all pieces are covered. Roast in a 400 degree oven until soft and carmelized. I'm telling you, you will love them. The roasting brings out all the natural sugars and they take on a whole new taste. Grilling is great too but if you don't have your grill going, try this technique..I promise you you will be glad you did. This is the only way I cook vegetables now..all vegetables..

I love both raw vegetable salad with or without dressing , or mixed vegetable juice along with some fruits like orange , apple and water melon. I also love grilled or steamed vegetables. Capsicums, potatoes, tomatoes, cauliflower etc taste really nice when they are grilled ...

Some veggies are wonderful when grilled. I grill potatoes, sweet potatoes, zuchini and eggplant. I havenĀ“t tried tomatoes or other veggies that have more water. But I also eat a lot of veggies done at a wok with a small amount of oil. There you can throw in almost any veggie of your choice. What type of veggies do you grill?

We grill veggies every time we cook out on the grill. Our favorites are asparagus, corn on the cob and radishes. We wash and clean the asparagus then give it a quick coat of vinaigrette then toss on grill until cooked all the way through. Radishes we skewer then brush with vinaigrette and cook. As for corn we husk it and put it on the grill, we then brush with melted butter over and over again glazing the corn basically with it ( I put slat, pepper and garlic in butter)until it is nice and the kernels start to burst. Any veggie coated with olive oil or vinaigrette will cook up delicious on the grill. We also do a lot of fruit on the grill as well. We cut apples, peaches and pears, in half and take out the pits or seeds. i also use a melon baller to make a small well in each. We grill them cut side down for about 4-5 minutes then flip over. we then fill the well with a piece of Carmel, marshmallow, chocolate or toffee, some times some nuts as well. we let them cook until the filling is melted then serve as is or with whipped cream. We also put fresh slices of pineapple on the grill. They need nothing added to them at all. The natural sugars caramelize and get just heavenly.

The belief that all veggies are better for you if they're raw is actually false. Some vegetables are more beneficial when they are cooked - carrots are an example of this. The other benefit of eating cooked vs raw vegetables is that you can typically consume larger amounts of cooked veggies than raw veggies. While I may only be able to fit a handful of fresh spinach onto a wrap or sandwich, I can easily triple or quadruple the amount of spinach if I lightly sautee it first. The most important thing is that you are eating vegetables. It's great to include some raw veggies in your meals, but grilling is still a good choice (boiling is the worst, since nutrients are lost in the water.)

I prefer grilled vegetables. I like to just put the raw vegetables straight on to the grill.

i have tried grilled vegetable, it is very delicious, i like it. however, actually, as far as i know, vegetable grilled is unhealthy for our body, so i think maybe i'd better eat it as less as possible.

I do not like raw vegetables either. The only thing I have eaten grilled is corn and it is great. I have never thought about grilling other veggies. I will have to give it a try. Thanks for the idea.

I love grilled vegetables. Though sometimes I drench them in olive oil so it is not too healthy. lol. I especially love grilled peppers and grilled asparagus. Oh and corn on the cob too. Yum.

Our family's been grilling squash lately. I slice half a squash into bite size pieces, toss it with chopped garlic and olive oil and pop into the oven until it's brown. It's great with sausage but we eat it with spam. I love grilled tomato with steak. A friend of mine told me that eating raw vegetable to start off a meal helps in digestion. It doesn't have to be a salad (though eating greens everyday is best); it can be fruit. I've been doing this for more than a year now and it's helped my digestion a lot.
