As a first step to losing 15 lbs, I am ridding my diet of soda. All kinds! No more unecessary sugar fixes! Instead, I'll be having fruit. I know it won't be easy, but its worth it. Anything else I should be wary of?

first off GOOD LUCK replacing soda with fruit is good but I read somewhere that grapes should not be eaten if you are trying to loose weight. Fresh pineapple however is very good at kick starting your water-loss. It gives you a great start to a diet as many people retain water when they are over weight.

Add lots of water along with the fruit. It will help with the craving and keep you from dehydrating.

i've been carrying around a .5L water bottle that I try to refill four times. its not easy getting used to drinking just water all the time. I suppose that if I reaplace all my beverages with water, it will be easier. I might try that...

How are you doing with getting rid of the soda. Those peveious post all sound very good. It will be easier if you have some one to do this with you. I always found keeping a food journal a big help. If I didn't want to write something in the journal I would not eat it.

Soda is a good first start but giving up white foods will go even further. White bread, sugar, onions, etc. Lots of water will help to. Try 6 small meals daily instead of 3 large. Make your last meal of the day the smallest so that it won't turn to fat when you go to bed.
