Sometimes to bath dogs are difficult, especially for larger dogs that won’t fit into the sink. Your choices are usually 1) a back-breaking (and sometimes dog-wrestling) session in the bathtub followed by often unpopular hair drying or 2) a trip to the dog groomer.
But there’s another alternative: dry dog shampoo. Whether you use this dry mixture to extend the time between real baths or to remove odors your dog picks up (how can they drop and roll SO quickly?), dry shampooing can be a good way to get your dog clean fast and without fuss.
You’ll find commercial dry dog shampoos in pet supply stores but you can also make an inexpensive dry shampoo at home using materials you probably already have on hand. The basic recipe uses one cup of one of these ingredients:
cornstarch
flour
baby powder
unscented talc
Many recipes also call for adding 1/2 a cup of baking soda to deodorize and/or a 1/2 cup of salt to help remove dirt. Some also call for a few drops of your favorite essential oil for dogs (use only essential oils you know are safe on dogs). Don’t use any of these mixtures on dogs with skin irritations or cuts.
When you have your ingredients selected, mix them together in a clean, dry glass jar with a metal, screw-top lid that’s small enough for you to hold easily. Close up the lid and shake the ingredients to mix then punch about a half dozen holes in the lid. You’re ready to shampoo!.
Before doing the dry shampoo, you’ll want to brush your dog thoroughly, just as you would before any dog bath. Brush him head to tail and work through any tangles with your fingers. This will ensure that the dry shampoo gets all the way to his skin.
Now you’re ready for the shampoo. Select a room you can vacuum easily or even mop: you’ll have powder to clean up when you’re done. Take care to keep the powder out of your dog’s eyes and nose and start sprinkling, working the powder into the lower levels of his coat. If you can, try to leave the dry shampoo in for five or ten minutes, then thoroughly brush it out. The dry shampoo will take with it excess oil and dirt and you’ll have a cleaner dog!.
How do you think, would you try?.

Ifa its for dogs for heaven shake
. I used it when I had no sun like last year which rain continuously so my dog will not smell bad.
Dog hair continuously fall every day so I had to comb it with special comb thats design for long fur dog.
Ifa you can not used dog shampoo for your child because its has different PH level and dog shampoo more expensive than baby shampoo. Thanks God I only need to bathe my dog twice in a month.
I think you can used olive oil for your kids , put it in the night before they go to sleep like using minyak rambut and wash it in the morning. You can buy it in supermarket for IDR 30000 for 250 ml. Its my recipe when I had dry hair and hair fall.

I'd stick with the cornstarch and baking soda - neither are toxic to dogs.
I wouldn't use talc because I wouldn't think it was safe. Essential oils I'd also avoid for just general cleaning because although we like the smell the dog might not (and dogs have a habit of rolling in things if you perfume them!)

Hi Bunnybon7.... Thanks for your kind response.
I don't really know if you going to bathe coco today, is just another coincident
. My dog also tend to act like that he seem to enjoy being dirty and smelly.
Sometimes its really tired to bathe him, did you know he only want to bathe without struggling is I bathe him with hot water. We don't have water heater at home so I have to boil water first before bathe him.

I agree with your recipe but don't think you wnat to use Talc of any kind. This can damage the lungs and is impossible to keep from being breathed in by either you or your dogs.

Thanks for this tip dear this is so helpful. I can use this as the between kind of bath before giving my fur babies a real bath. I am so big on the odor as my whole family complains when they smell a small doggie smell. My Louise do not smell because she is bathe every 3 days and brushed everyday but dogs like human have their own distinct smell and my family is so sensitive to smell they keep complaining. Even took my dog to the vet and he said that it's just her normal smell which is not bad like the real dogggie smell. Guess my family has a nose like a hound lol. I surely will try this on my baby.
