My uncle who lives in a village in Chhattisgarh, India, came last night, he was upset to see the mosquitoes here, and he could not sleep last night.
But he says, they don’t have mosquitoes in the homes.
I was surprised, because there paddy fields, trees, shrubs.
A little thinking made the things clear. They use so much chemical, pesticides, insecticides in the fields, these kill not only the insects but the eggs of mosquitoes and mosquitoes. Hence there are no more mosquitoes in the village.
Do the farmers at your place use pesticides, insecticides, chemical manures; does it not affect the mosquito, rodent population? Are you in favor of use of these? Please share your views.

When I was a child, it didn't seem that mosquitos were nearly the problem that they are today. I think that is because in the past there were more treatments done on the farms that are around here. These days the focus is more on everything being organic and there is far less insecticides and such done on the crops so the mosquitos are allowed to flourish where they used to be kept at bay. One part of me wishes that they still treated because I'm allergic to mosquito bites. But, I also know that in the long run we are healthier even though there are more mosquitos.

then the air in the village is meant to be polluted a lot than our cities. All insects should given room in the ecological chain and we should safe guard against them and not kill them.It is high time, farmers should switch to natural manures and avoid artificial fertilizers and say no to poisonous insecticides.

hello prof,
Farmer do use chemicals and pesticides with their cops.
But,it doesn't mean that,it can kill all the small insects.
Here in the city i lived, there were places that had so much mosquitoes, while other places don't have much.
In my place,i always clean my surroundings to avoid mosquito for laying eggs.
Sometimes,it is the environment that cause mosquito to make it their dwelling place.
have a good day always dear

I think we should avoid chemicals use to the possible extend however it has become to avoid that. My father uses many chemicals for agriculture purpose, there are few before plow, after plow and with the seeds, and there are many. This is not something a farmer wants to do but there is no choice left, if we do not use these chemicals the entire crop would be eaten by all these insects.
We should avoid chemical use.
