Where is One Piece? I think one piece is one of the best Animei in terms of action since it has already been running for more than 10 years now and their last movie strong world made a record breaking 600 million yen.

My list is a little different as I don't really like mecha theme. However, I do enjoy action too and my favorite action anime are One Piece, FMA, Baccano!!, Gintama, Hunter X Hunter and more..

hmm..that a very comprehensive list you got there if you go further back, further than 10 years...one of the best was Robotech. it's almost similar to the Macross series. or is it the same...

Samurai X, yeahh. I'd also add Eva to the mecha series. And as mentioned above, let's not forget Baccano! either... genuine anime, perfectly bloody. An other great action/shounen anime is D.Gray-man, I, who's never moved by anything, was so tense and excited watching it.

I loved loved loved Elfen Lied and Samurai X. But I liked the Rurouni Kenshin manga better than I liked the anime series. :) Other series I liked were Black Cat, X and Inu Yasha. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle was okay for a while, but then the series got too sparkly and confusing, and there were way too many filler episodes. Same reason I skipped through the whole Bounto arc during Bleach. I never ever missed an episode of the Soul Society arc, but once the Bounto arc began, I just gave up and waited for it to end because it was such a drag :P
