Do you want to watch the World Cup alone or with someone else?

My dad doesn't live with us. My husband is not very interested in the World Cup. So I think it is likely that sometimes I will watch it by myself. That's OK. I already get used to cheer up alone when I am watching the sports

When you don't like the same team, sometimes it can lead to a disagreement.

Wow, you like soccer while your hubby doesn`t?But that`s fine..you have sons?I am single, but my nephew lives with us, he`s 11 years old. He likes reading my world Cup books collection, even though he gets mixed up sometimes, like he said that Buffon was"having problems" before the 2006 ( match-fixing scandal), of course, my nephew couldn`t understand that soccer is not about 2x45 minutes, goals, red and yellow cards, but soccer is also a big, big business, entertainment, and soccer is a reflection of our life. We learn that Zidane,Beckham,Rooney, Villa, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi are stars, but they had to go long, long process before we know them like who they are now. I will watch with the whole family, as my brother-in-law also a soccer fan, and my dad, who doesn`t watch soccer too often, sometimes keeps update by listening to BBC radio. I like watching soccer with family, at home, with my noisy but cute nephew, who used to get mixed up between countries in Europe and Southern America, who is smart and keeps asking about everything...Enjoy the Cup!!

My son is nearly 6 years old. Perhaps he is too little to enjoy the World Cup. Besides, his bed time is around 9:30pm

I am not a great football fan. So, even I want to watch world cup, I will watch with my friends. So that I could chat with them and listening to their opinions about the soccer team. I did not subscribed to the paid t.v. and thus can only watch from the free broadcast station. This free channel only has very little games and that's why I am even discouraged to watch the world cup.

Ya, I can see that you are very fortunate to have such facility at home. Recently my friend told me over the phone that we can actually watch it through streaming video online. I am not sure how I can do it exactly, but since I am not so enthusiastic in watching, so I didn't put much effort to look for the website which provide such free service.

Unfortunately, my wife is also not much interested in World Cup, so I am going to see it alone. Probably by the next cup, my son would be old enough to watch it with me. I might go to watch a couple of matches with my friends if I do find time. But most of the time I would be watching these matches alone. Regards, Ram

youless, Well, I hope that you will be able to enjoy the live telecasts and if you really need some company you can always switch on your computers and turn on to chat with your friend(s) at the same time. I am sure your husband will have a favorite team in the tournament and you may wake him up when his team is playing.

youless, Well, you've got to get him a soccer ball for a start and let him play in the park with you or some children who might like to play. BTW, who is your favorite player of this tournament? Is your favorite team playing in this tournament?

That's odd. You husband doesn't like watching world Cup. Absoltely I want to watch football games with my friends. It's better to go to the club if presence at the stadium is not possible. I still miss the college days watching World Cup with my dear classmates. How I wish I could go back to those happy days.

I do not enjoy any kind of sports...and do not watch any of the matches. Most of the time my husband watches the matches alone or with the kids. I go off to bed early and he was up a few weeks back...for the cricket matches and now for the World Cup.

Hello youless. Now I am back home for my summer vacation and I watch the World Cup either alone or with my son. I watched a few matches from the beginning to the end like the match between Germany and Argentina, Brazil and Netherlands. There are quite a few regrets for the performance of Argentina and Brazil though I am happy for whichever team. The semi-final and final are to be held soon and by then we will see the final result, an exciting moment. Enjoy yourself with the World Cup, youless.

Last night the match between Argentina and Germany is very disappointing. Hard to believe the score is 0:4.

Hello youless. It is interesting to watch the World Cup. It will begin soon tonight. I will watch it alone for some time, but I don't think that I can finish watching it tonight as I still have to get up early tomorrow morning for my work. I am interested to get to know the result on radio tomorrow morning. Lots of people are crazy about the coming match between South Africa and Mexico in a little bit more than thirty minutes. I wish you to enjoy yourself, youless.

Hi there youless. Well i am not very interested in watching the world cup either, since my country didn't even qualify. My company managed to do something to get it's employees interest regarding the fifa competition as it created an internal betting system, where we had the choice of choosing the outcome for every match and while this is free, the person with the most correct guesses is expected to receive a few interesting presents.

WOW It is quite unusual in your family that you are a big football fan rather than your husband! I think most men are obsessed with football! Whatever,I must say it is a coincidence that we two girls are similarly sports fans! Originally I planned to watch the World Cup with my friends outside, because there would be very high atmosphere for us to watch together. But accidently there is something wrong with my legs and I can't go out,so I have to stay at home with my parents. However, luckily my father is a football fan so that I can watch match with him,and I think it will be interesting too!

i think it feels boring if someone is not with us while watching games. you may feel sleepy when your favrouit team is not leading well then some times later you find that you lost the exiting show in last minutes. its defifntely important to have someone with you at such shows where each step all depend on time. you can talk to someone as he is not palying well or he should had done like that rather than talking to itself. maybe you can visit your neighbour house it she loves to watch the game or maybe your or her daugter to talk with during games.

It's OK for me to watch the World Cup alone, at least no more disturbs. But last night my husband accompanied me to watch it at the last 30 minutes

In my opinion, It depends... If it is not an important match, I mean the match doesn't involve big teams, then it is okay to watch it alone. However, if it is a big match, it will be a must to watch the match together with my friends.

I don't have patience to watch a lot of games, but I do follow the scores on the radio. Also, if the games are on tv when I go to the bar, I'll watch. So, the only time I watch sports is when I'm with people.

Compare to basketball and baseball, perhaps the soccer is not that popular in your side?
