what's in a name?

My first name is the name of a plant on the Scottish moors, but I was actually named for an English actress. My middle name is kind of made up-minuette-my dad liked the sound of mignonette ( another flower) but not the spelling--so my middle name is Minuette--my granddaughter has the same middle name. My surname I was born with was German, my first married name was German, with an umlat it would have been Norwegian, my current surname is Finlander. I am a mixed up mess of all American, including Choctaw Indian.
