Do you miss the older cartoons and tv shows that were on television when you were growing up. I was around when all of those 90's shows were popular. For instance, some of my favorite things to watch were: Saved by the bell, goosebumps, are you afraid of the dark, dinosaurs, rocko's modern life, Freaky Stories, Rugrats, Animaniacs, etc. Do you remember any off of this list, or do you have any others that aren't on the list?

I remember my kids watching those when they were younger you must be closer to their age than mine. I used to watch the Flinstones when I wsa younger. I actually really miss the family type sitcom. There just are not that many of them any more where there is a nice normal family and the whole family can watch the show together and maybe laugh a little bit. It just seems like except for a couple of shows those kind of shows are a thing of the past.

Oh, you made me remember a couple of family sitcoms that I enjoyed. Like, Fresh Prince of Belair, and Family Matters. Steve Urkel was the best!

I miss Goosebumps, are you afraid of the dark and Rugrats. I don't know . For some reason, I find them a lot better than the cartoon series/ shows today.

Yes I do remember the cartoons that were show when I was still very young. But in those times, it was not allowed for more viewing since it disrupted the kids spent time with families. I must admit , it was kinda violent and it was not really good for the kids. What I missed most is Sesame Street. It is not anymore being shown here. I find it very educational and entertaining.

It's funny, all through my childhood I do not recall watching any Sesame Street at all. It was all cartoons and other tv shows. There were some educational cartoons on tv then too. I can't remember the name of the one, but it included animals, mice I think, and they had little stories, with a lot of facts and information in them. It is just a vivid remembering though. If anyone has any idea about that one, please list it, because I really want to know what it is. It is like an itch I can't scratch.

I remember all those shows. ;D There were so many great cartoons on in the 90's. I also liked: Rescue Rangers, Duck tales, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Hey Arnold, Wild Thornberries, Aaaahhh! Real Monsters, Angry Beavers, Timon and Pumbaa, Recess, Doug, All That, Kenan and Kel, Tiny Toons, Bump in the Night, Bug Juice, Sister Sister, Smart Guy, Boy Meets World, Sonic the Hedgehog and ....I'm sure there's a few more, but I can't think of them right now. w

Awesome! I had these in the back of my mind but I couldn't put a name on some of them. I am going to right these down so I don't forget. Loved Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, duck tales were awesome, tale spin I watched every morning before school, dark win duck was good, Doug, Monsters, and those others were all awesome. In Bump in the Night do you remember an episode where a frozen turkey is chasing Mr. Bumpy and squishington? I tried looking online for it but I can't seem to find it. Remember Mighty Max?

I probably go back farther than you do. I miss cartoons like Heckle and Jeckle, Mighty Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Popeye, and later The Pink Panther. We had shows like Twilight Zone, Walt Disney, One Step Beyond, Howdie Doodie, Alfred Hitchcock, and Wyatt Earp. I miss those shows.

Oh I loved Mighty mouse and bugs bunny even though I am from a newer generation. My parents always played a bunch of those old cartoons on video tapes they had. I loved all of those really, really old cartoons too. Pink panther was great too, they even remade them into a newer version too, but I can't seem to find those ones anywhere. Also, I am a huge, I mean huge, Twilight Zone fan! I love it, can't get enough of it. They don't write those kind of stories anymore. I love a show with a good twist at the end.

I definitely remember everything you just listed off and then some. Cartoons and other teen friendly sitcoms just aren't what they were used to be like. I grew up watching cartoons like Smurfs, Maya the Bee, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men, Thundercats and others. Those newer remakes of TMNT and X-Men aren't the same. I also remember watching shows like Blossom, Home Improvement, Salute Your Shorts, and even Doogie Howser.

Yeah I remember watching are you afraid of the dark and wanted to sprinkle some dust on camp fires too. And not just those shows, i also love those times that as a child you do not have much worries in life but just how to finish your homework early so you can watch those shows. I still have no computer that time so all I do after homework is watch on tv show.

I was born in 1969 and yes, I miss the TV shows I watched in the 1970s, most of which you won't have heard of! I loved our British programmes like Bagpuss, The Clangers, Grange Hill, etc. plus US imports from older days like Champion the Wonder Horse and Flash Gordon. My kids were born in the 1990s so I did see a lot of Rugrats then!

I really do miss 90s Nickelodeon a lot. I just feel like MOST shows for kids these days (most, but not all of them) are seriously lacking. There is a special Nicktoons channel that plays the cartoons of the 90s, but most of what I've seen when I've been somewhere to watch it is that a lot of them are only played LATE at night (I saw Rocko's Modern life on at 3am once). Which I guess if you have DVR/TiVo it doesn't matter what time it's played, but still.

Ya, I noticed there are a couple of those old ones that play later at night. Like, as you said, Rocko's Modern Life. I also noticed Ren and Stimpy is on later too. I just wish they had a tv channel that would play all of the 90's shows on again, and just those, all day long.

Cartoon - Older days cartoon are violent and mindless.
In my older days cartoon that i see are like those disney cartoon with mickey mouse, roffy and such,Road runners, alvin and the chipmunks, popeye, thundercats, tom and jerry and such.Personally i think the older days cartoon are silly and very violent especially like tom and cherry and road runners , where these carton character basically whack each other and use violent arsenals to blast each other.Haha.

I have watched very few cartoons. So I only say something on TV Shows. There were really some classical TV shows in 80-90s in my country. The directors and the actors&actress did perfect job. I miss them very much. But I don't like to watch them again, because limited by the technology, the scenery, the makeup and the video-taking was not very good by nowaday eyes. The images are too dim, make me uncomfortable.

There used to be a whole bunch of cartoons I adored watching on the Cartoon Network, like the Flintstones and the jetsons and the early episodes of Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls. :D I haven't seen them on air in forever, but I found a torrent for the entire Flintstones series that I was watching a while ago, and it got me in the most nostalgic mood :) I miss the cartoon programming on Nick too, from the 90's. They had some amazing shows. OH and The little lulu show! Aw, that was so fun to watch. :)

Oh yeah, I loved Dexter's Lab, that was a great one too. There was just a different feel to those 90's cartoons. The colors, the characters, the voices, and the background music. It is hard to explain, they just had a very unique nice feeling to them.

I'm a lot older than you, so I have never even heard of most of the shows you mentioned. I don't miss the shows from when I was a kid for the most part and actually don't even remember the names of most of them.
