I like communicate with my parents by telephone for three reasons. Firstly, communicating by the telephone is convenient which could get the message immediately ,besides, you could know whether your parents is well from the response. Secondly,if we communicating by letter which is so slow for sending the information nowadays in recent times,if you meet emergency, which will make you crazy. In addition,my handwriting is so messy which is so hard to identify. If by e-mail,you know, my parents who could not use computer so often which is mean hard for them, who could only make use of computer for simple amusement, such as for waching video, reaing some update news. Therefor, communicating by telephone is more proper way for me.

For me phone, Skype, emails and chat works best. Most of my family members prefer these ways as well, and several of them are free to use, so it really works out well for me.

I don't email them at all because I find that they don't normally check their inbox there. Everyone of us prefer to communicate or contact each other using the services in many social networking sites. We also do some text messaging when like someone is away from the internet and we only use calling when someone is using some unlimited calling service or just want to consume the remaining credits which are going to expire already.

I communicate with them through mobile phones. Its the best way of communicating with love ones here in our country. Usually we talk through text messages sometimes calls. I'm really grateful that text messaging has become really cheap.

Of course telephone. Letters are too slow, and they are possible to miss. e-mail? Though it's zero cost, but my parents don't know how to send emails, they types slowly.

I communicate with my relatives mostly by phone. Letter writing is too arduous, especially with my hands being as impaired. The older generation in my family is too old to really get email, my preferred method of communication. Although I do talk to my youngest cousin on Facebook.

As far as I am concerned, I think I will usually prefer to make a phone call to my family, which I think can be a derictly way. If I just use the letter, or email, which may not so direct yo communivate with my fami ly. I need to heear their voice. I need the comfortable voice that they impress on me.I just enjoy tlaking with them so much.

I use email and telephone and even celphone to communicate with my parent and siblings but not snail mail. it's so slow. I could have visited them rather than send them snail mail

There are many reasons why we may prefer one way to communicate than another one. In my case, my parents live close to me (about 15 minutes by car) and they have a computer at home. My mom checks her emails every day, so if I need to tell her something urgent, I just take my cellphone. If it's not so important or urgent, I just leave her the message in an email and she reads it when she just has time for reading and answering. Sometimes it happens that I phone her and she is busy at the moment, so I rather prefer to write her. Another time it's just enough with a sms. On the other way, I have sisters living in another country than I do, so I prefer to write emails or to chat. Otherwise, telephone would be to high and maybe I could not afford the bill.

It is best to communicate with our parents through the phone. Letters are for old times. E-mail is best for corporate transactions.

I was a little different from you, I prefer communication by chat or email. The reason why I use the way it is because the cost is cheap and practical. I rarely use the telephone to communicate with my family, unless you need very urgent

With my mom, we communicate thru phone. We tried to chat once but she was typing too slow. She still sends letters to me but I call to reply to her =) With my dad, we always communicate by email. Seems easier that way because of his busy schedule. With my brother, we communicate by email or Facebook.

I try to keep in touch by phone but I prefer face to face meetings first. Phone calls & emails feel so impersonal to me. I understand my mother has her busy life & sometimes I can't really get around to going over to her house. But I try to visit in person as much as I can when I can help it. Samething with my friends. I don't like calling them or sending them text messages. I'd rather meet them in person. But as often as it happens, we all can't always make time to meet. So I guess given the choice, I talk to them through phone more often.

Sometimes my parents and I send text messages to eachother, but most of the time we prefer to call eachother instead of sending a message. My mother doesn't always carry her cell phone, so if I send a message she might not read it till a few days later. My brother and I sometimes send text messages to eachother, he is often busy and if I send him a message he can it later if he is busy with something else. I don't usually exchange letters with my family, I prefer to call or send a text message.

I usually don't send emails to family members unless it is vital. I rarely send letters to them either. I like personal contact better. Most of my family communication on a daily basis is by telephone. I am always talking to someone in my family,

most likely is mobile phone. other options if i can think of is like skype, gtalk and any voip client(may be abroad). it is cheap comfortable and easy going. Internet is everywhere like spreaded cheese in burger so obvious things is gtalk and other talk clients.
