Why people from US and UK so eager to earn money online?

I heard that wage at US and UK is something about $7-8 dollars per hour, so I am just so curious that why people from these countries are struggling to make money online? Because here at online we can hardly make even $2 a day, it is quite high figure I provided for online earning, some can't earn even $1 a day. So I want to ask you people that why do you struggling here at online to make some cents? Why don't you work somewhere else where you can get $8 per hour? Can you make your living with some cents? Please clear my doubt about this thing.

I am self employed and do not earn as much as the average hourly rate of earnings most other people earn, i am happy to earn what extra income i can online. Also i enjoy the community spirit of discussion sites. Although the hourly rate of pay is around £5.75 an hour in the UK the cost of living is very expensive here. The average rent of a house is £490, we are taxed on everything from car tax to buying food and also have to pay a council tax, we get taxed on our earnings so even though you may earn £350 a month you will only take home £200 as you also have to pay national insurance and that is before you even think about buying food, runnng a car so you can get to work, buying clothes, shoes, things for the children. Also there is a huge resession in the Uk and no jobs that are highly paid, we have high unemployment and lots of people chasing the same job interviews. It may sound a lot of money to earn but when you weigh it up against what you have to pay out then you are left with not a lot, so earning a little online helps. best wishes

The same thing goes for right here in the US, the cost of living is way up there. Lets put it this way I spend over $800 a month just on groceries. Then another $652 a month in property payment. That doesn't even include all the other bills lights are normally $150 a month. Water, internet, phone, ect is all extras. Figuring my Insurance check is only $680 a month, if anything happened to my husband I would be up the creek without a paddle. This is why I work online.

You hit the nail on the head. When I was working in the UK, people from my home town never took the cost of living into consideration. They were all under the impression that I was filthy rich. Little did they know that I hardly have anything saved up and what little I have saved up needed to be spent on the plane going home and the usual presents that I always needed to take home. Back to the topic of discussion, jobs are not easy to come by especially with today's economy. Even before the recession, jobs are not always there. There are jobs for highly qualified people, but you need to spend money to be highly educated.

As a retired couple with a 14 year old son to bring up as well our annual income with child tax credits is about £16000 and as our outgoings are about £17000 I try to earn what I can where I can - no one wants to employ a woman nearly 60 with diabitis and other medical conditions!!

Tiffany I was actually thinking that same thing, I just didn't get to say it. I lost the post for awhile, and just did find it again. Strange how some people think that all Americans are lazy. Let me guess they most likely don't think us Americans have to pay bills either right? Like the government will pay everything if we just sit back and get fat.

haha just compare with the people who work in regular job compared to the foreigners there... the numbers are amazing, most of the people that work in usa in what is consider "middle class" are foreigners. also is happening now with the specialized jobs (aka research and so on) is not to discriminate or say that I hate americans or so, I learned this because i got many offers to work there and I had to talk about the subject with my girlfriend, which is american, and she was the one who explained me that... and to be honest isnt a thing only in america or uk, is pretty common n many other industrialized countries. is easier to blame the government for their situation than go out and do something... but well dont go out so much of the subject.

I think money is money regardless of the size of it.Moreover the people from the countries you have mentioned have great many sites paying exclusively fo them. They stand a chance of earning a lot more than the people of the other developing countries the people from where find it hard to earn that 2$ you have mentioned.Earning a single dollar a day is an achievement for them with the limited resources.

I have been building my online income for many years. I started because I wanted to be able to stay at home with my children. It was one of the best decisions that I ever made. Your online earnings are only limited by your own effort.

the US is not all glamour. I work for the ciy office but after taxes and insurance that come out my check, I only bring home a little over half of what my monthly salary is. My daycare alone is $900.00 and thats only part-time care because I work during the day and my husband works the evening shift. Now on top of that we have rent, electric, water, groceries, etc. Everyone is looking for a little extra money to put away for just in-case-situations and every penny counts. I and my husband are in school finishing our degrees to try and better our finances so that our children will have it better than what we did growing up. You're suppose to want more for your kids then what you had for yourself. I don't want to live paycheck to paycheck so saving any littel extra I can find with the skills I have is key.

I know exactly what you mean. It's really tough living from paycheck to paycheck. I have to pay $460 for my car each month and it's barely half way paid off. I can't wait until it's done for since that will free up so much money I can use for other things.

The minimum where I'm at is $8 per hour but that's nothing. You have to take the cost of living into consideration too. You can barely make a living with those kind of wages, even working full time. After taxes and such you're left with hardly anything. And most of the money would go to paying bills and such. The economy is going through a tough time at the moment so people are losing their jobs left and right. A lot of businesses have closed down in my city and trying to find a job is hard. Even the lowest paying jobs have many people competing for them. I've been hunting for an extra part time job to add some more to my income but it's very difficult. And there's no way I can make a living with the amount I earn from online. I'm just on here in my spare time to earn some side spending money. I usually save it up in my paypal account to use for special occasions, like Christmas or whatever.

I'm eager to earn money online because I am a stay at home mom. I don't like feeling guilty about my husband being the only one going out to work and bringining the money in. So I do a lot of things online to help out the best that I can. Of course it isn't as much as I would make if I were working out of the house somewhere but it is a start.

I am sure that there are various reasons for doing so.I feel that many stay at home wives are happy to make that extra income without feeling guilty about neglected their children and family. There may be some who like the idea of discussion and the relaxation it provides them after a hard day of work...

Many people that are online making pennies, are disabled and can't work, or they are stay at home moms, some are retired, Some just lost jobs with the economy being so bad and they can't find work. Lets put it this way to any of the above people that I mentioned even a few cents here and there adds up, and sooner or later its used to pay bills or to buy things that are needed. I actually use to use my paypal money to buy diapers a few years ago, when we were out of cash. So believe me the money comes in handy. I use my cash now for Christmas for my kids, this way I don't have to get into my bill money. It saves me from getting shut off notices and from having to go without some things.

Not everyone can find a job, just because the hourly wage is higher than some countries means nothing. In some states the wage is at $5/hour and others $10. With the current recession there are millions of people seeking employment and can't find anything. People need any cent they get to stay out of trouble or stop themselves falling even deeper into trouble. Remember just cause the hourly wage is higher doesn't make them richer as cost of living is higher as well. Have a good one

I think most people earn money online in their spare time, they probably all of regular jobs while trying to earn online. That or they may have a disability, be on maternal leave, etc.. Perhaps most people are even taking advantage of their desk jobs and earning money over the internet when they should be doing their real work.

It makes sense, but how much they can earn a $1 or $2? I think it is quite quite low income comparing to their per hour $7-8. Isn't it?

Hello there ! Main Point is : A few cents is better than a dollar as long as you don't have to miss your children. One thing people of US and UK lack is " enough time with their kids ". People love their kids, but at certain parts of the US and UK , the cost of living is so high that one needs a dual income to run a family smoothly. Getting home loans is very common there and many people live in mortage houses, so they have to pay off their debts regularly. Also usage of credit cards is very common and hence they need to pay extra charges for that. with all these, mothers look for a work that doesn't take them away from their home. So they naturally go towards the work from home opportunity through online jobs.

Marked it as a best response, direct to the point. Hmmm getting home loan and spending through credit cards is common there. Here at India, we do not use it much. Even I don't have credit card.

honestly if you find the right site, you'll earn more--it depends actually on someone else's preference of waht kind of work they put in, as long as they are happy and profitting from it why not, right?
