A dove never changes its mate till its life time

It will be ready to sacrifice its life for the sake of its partner. It will sacrifice its life when its mate dies. A dove will not have that temptation to fall for another mate even if it's a nicer mate than its mate. We need to learn this moral from a dove, what do you say?

Okay, Vannie's not here, yet. I agree, we want to be with our loved ones, til whenever, but it's not always that easy. It would be nice, though. TATA.

a small correction saphy, It's you that want to be with your loved one alone, for me I said I did not get any chance Of course it's not that easy, so I am working hard to stay good. Definitely it would be nice to be like a dove.( if you can't live like a dove, you can better choose a partner like a dove, good for you..) Well, Our professor will definitely have some freaking different views on this topic too... now over to our freaking professor vannie

Hi vijayanths, Yeah we have to learn from the dove for moral and ethics. We have to learn from ants the discipline, from Dog we have to learn faith, singing from kukoo etc.,

Jai dear, I can't accept that statement "No one wants to change partners" - there are many people who want to constantly change partners-after all man is an animal- may be a cultured animal- If you have that virtue to live with a single partner, it's good for the family set up and for the children. Sometimes it becomes inevitable to change the partner. You know these things very well, I know that

In my opinion the people who are happy with a single partner are abnormal. But always truths are bitter.

oh yeah...but i am referring to people who are normal (sorry, but people who change partners constantly are not normal ones,in normal aspect of love) I can have a new love if i want to,but, there is something in my mind that holding me not to have one(right now,i don't know about tomorrow) I do fall in love,(at present),but i am afraid as well to be in love this way.

Every morning I drink my cup of tea by the balcony that overlooks the terrace of my neighbors. My neighbor is kind enough to forget the overflowing water tank, which makes a neat water source for many doves. I have seen those guys flirting, and not always a single partner. Now, I am not sure the bonding is with one bird only, because I see some female(presumably) doves walking away and the dove turning to another bird. :) I only know I enjoy the romancing. :)

I do understand the word loyalty and fidelity but then it will only work if both partner are so in love with each other. The dove story has got some morals to it. Yet they are far different from humans because human heart and mind changes from time to time. Most of them can't stay devoted to their partners and the problem will not then start to roll. It does happen to some rare love affair that no matter how things changes and even trial come to wreck havoc on the relationship they weathered the storm. That is the ideal relationship but for how long and it usually depends of the two person involved.

yeah you are right reckon, I have seen a few couples who lived so happily together through thick and thin without the spark of love diminishing whatsoever.

vijayanths, I didn't know that holds true for doves. I thought is was just for love birds. But that is nice to know.

hi, eleenleyva, there is a kind of dove that has this top quality. I have also heard that love birds have similar virtues.

I do not have anything to say vijayanths. After reading so many news in the news papers about the extra marital affairs and killing the spouse for the sake of lover, and adultery and affairs, i am happy that atleast doves are faithful to their mates.

well said vathsala, nowadays faithfulness is becoming a rare commodity. But this is inevitable when there is a development in culture, economy and such stuffs.

But if at all we have real love towards our dove, definitely we will not think about another dove and that is for sure. People with uncertain mind will move from person to person like a monkey which hops from tree to tree.
• India

yes vathsala you are right. I agree with you fully.

It is a nice idea isn't it? I always love to hear stories of couples that have been married 50 years or more, very sweet. If this happens to me I'll be 92! I can think of another bird that mates for life with the same, er, mate, and that's the albatross, Sir David Attenborough's favourite animal don't you know! I think he campaigns for its future along with the yachtswoman Ellen McCarthy.

Your point is nice....but an Utopian one... Still there are good souls around us...who respects their partner.... I'm not married...but when I...I'll respect.. thanks for sharing.... have a great day/night......
