New sanctions on Iran effective?

I wonder.
Iran banned 2 UN inspectors from entering the country because Iran says they gave the media "false" information regarding their nuclear program.
Iran has backtracked on information and now will now allow inspections. This after a brand new round of sanctions.
Do you think Iran is a lost cause and regardless, will continue their enrichment programs? Do you believe they are only using nuclear for energy?

What I think is that it's too bad the average citizens in Iran aren't evil, because I'm afraid the only thing that's going to stop the Iranian regime is a nuke or two. Sanctions are clearly never going to stop the fanatics who rule there.
Sadly, it will fall to Israel to carry out such a task, & when they do, it will set off a war such as the world has never seen, because, no, I don't believe that nut-burger tyrant who reigns in Iran. His transparent claim that the nuclear fuel they have is for peaceful purposes--puh-leeeeze. I have a nice bridge in Brooklyn to sell the next yokel who believes that mentally unstable madman.

Yes. Exactly. See my sig for another person who agrees with this, in general, at least, although this particular quote isn't an exact match, I know it's part of his philosophy to try to protect the innocent.

I think Iran will continue their enrichment programs. No, they are not only using nuclear for energy. Their "fearless leader", Ahmadinejad, has made very clear his intent to destroy Israel. Of course, no one in THEIR right mind would trust the government which this man, who is quite clearly not in HIS right mind, represents.
Add to this the way the Iranian government beat and tortured its own citizens and students so mercilessly when they rightfully protested corrupt elections. Lost cause, loose cannon - great combination.

If they weren't simultaneously developing long-range missiles, I might believe they wanted to use nuclear materials for energy only, but as it is...they lie. I do think Iranian leadership is a lost cause. And I hope Israel takes out their nuclear capabilities. We sure won't. I would also be in favor of covertly taking out leadership. The Iranian people wouldn't mind.

I don't believe anything Iran says. Maybe they were busy hiding what they are really doing during the time the inspectors were kicked out of the country. It's not like they have to let them know where everything is.
