In my country the libraries are managed by the government or should say are not managed well. Old books, dusty from no one reading them, dark, gloomy and dirty rooms. There is no point to go there, for one cannot find any good books unless they are doing some research on history or similar things. So, no, I do not go to the library and rent books. I buy books f my preference.

I go to the library sometimes, usually when I don't have any money and I don't have any books to read. But I really prefer to buy books new. It feeds authors and publishers and keeps the books coming to our shelves. Plus, I like having my own personal library full of books. Actually mine's more of one bookshelf and wherever I can put additional books, but still. The last time I went to the library was several months ago and I recently got a load of new books so my next trip won't be for awhile.

The library is a great place to get free reads. I prefer buying books new, but I'll go to the library if I can't. I'm not rich, but I do spend more money on books than on CDs, DVDs, or anything else people buy to entertain themselves.

it sort of depends - we went last Saturday and got a STACK of audio books I'm listening to one in the car right now if we have $$ we may go to Goodwill and look for cds or albums (vinyl) but we mostly go for the audio books at the library we went to a branch we hadn't been to before because we normally go on Sundays and we found some books we hadn't seen before

I like to listen to them in the car. When I did data entry, it gave me something to listen to besides the radio, which was getting REALLY old. After all, they weren't PAYING me to read a book... I listened to ALL the Harry Potter books, I honestly have only READ the last one.

I've never heard anyone say rent books before. I did go more before the stupid library broke up with me but that was for the computer which I don't have to do anymore. I do get there about every month so I can pick up a new load of books. I rely pretty heavily on the library since I really don't buy all that many books since I just don't have the money.

When I was in college I grabbed the opportunity to rent 10 books everyday because I am so fond of reading novels before. During my free time you would see me reading novels in the library, I really missed those times. Right now, I don't have much time reading some good books because I am busy mylotting and taking care of my son.

I am a member of a writing group that meets twice a month. We used to meet at the library so occasionally I would stop and check out the books, maybe loan one out. However, the library ejected us because they wanted paying customers (if a library won't support a writing group, who will?) and I no longer go to the library. Besides, I have over 200 books at home that I have yet to read... and I keep buying new ones, especially from authors I meet. It's a bad habit I have. I like renting from the library but it is not as convenient as it was before. They have also minimized the parking with plans to build townhomes, so I pretty much stay out of downtown. There is another library at the recreation centre, but there is so much activity going on there parking is usually full too. I try and avoid libraries and book stores when I have so many books at home.

I used to go to the library a lot more than I do now. I must say that I don't go very often anymore. I'm not sure why, but I guess that I just don't have as much time as I used to, when I was in my teens.

I LOVE visiting the library. I actually make it a weekly event and today just so happens to be my library day. I always visit the local library on Wednesdays. Even if I don't have any books to return or pick up I enjoy going and just being there. I always look at the movies too, to see if there are any I'd like to rent. My library has the option of borrowing from other libraries within a big area. So if there is a book that you want and my library doesn't have it, they'll borrow it from another. It's so great because that means you can pretty much borrow any book you want to read from the library. If one doesn't have it, another one is bound to! I love the library!

as a researcher I like to be in the library most of the time, like now :-) is peaceful and I can get all the books at hand I need. I'm not so into the renting books to be honest. once i get home I prefer to read "light" stories or do sports or play wii with my girlfriend hehe but to answer a bit more detailed your question I could say that I visit the library at least 2 days per week

I often visit the library, and I have two different library cards. Sometimes I visit the library close to my home. It is easy to go there, but the library is quite small and they don't have a lot of books to choose from, so I also like to visit the big library. That library is in a another city, and when I go there I usually borrow lots of different books and some films. It is not easy to find the popular films at the library, but sometimes I am lucky. I like to borrow many different kinds of books and I read fiction as well as non-fiction.

We go to the library a couple of times a month, sometimes just to browse. I check books out usually once a month. I buy a lot of books at second hand stores and just found a great resource for them at Goodwill. Most paperbacks are $1.99. I buy them, read them and donate them back to Goodwill when I'm done. I get a lot of books to read and get a tax deduction on top of it.

When I was younger I used to go to the library all the time to check out books. In fact I worked in a library in college! I do not go anymore, in fact I have not been in years. I tend to go to used books stores for most of my books and then I will sell them back.

I have always enjoyed going to the library and checking out books to take home. I still do. I don't have as many opportunities to do this as I did in my younger days. So many responsibilities don't leave a lot of time for library visits, but I do manage to get there.

I go all the time, I almost live in the library. Nine times out of ten when my mum askes me where I'm going, I'm always going to the library, it's even making her worried...I'm not really that much of a book worm, it's just that there are so many books that i come across that I need to use, the library is my best source without having to buy every book that i want to look at... :)
